3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Ralph lauren perfume ad Painting on: August 20, 2005 05:24:29 AM
I did this for art class. I screwed up the background but i'll do it right next time! I'm fairly happy with it, being one of my first watercolors. The nose of the girl bothers me now... but whatever, enough yapping. I'm sure you all know which perfume ad it is... enjoy.

4  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / Dirty sneakers, in desperate need of special washing solution. on: August 05, 2005 06:42:03 AM
Hey,
My white ( well formerly-white ) Vans sneakers are all brown around the bottom and most of the top, I know its very gross. Do any of you fantastic craftsters have any special stuff that will take the yuck out? I've tried normal household cleaners and they dont work that great. Any ideas are appreciated!
Thanks,
Janelle
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Tile-mosaic from art class with limited funds.... on: July 07, 2005 06:28:58 AM
I just discovered this board taday and I'm so excited... I needed to show off one of my pieces. It kinda looks better from far and if you can't tell what it is ( just as one girl in my class asked me ) its a pair of ballet pointe shoes and legs...

comments welcome Smiley
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Tropical-ish skirt w/ eyelet on: May 22, 2005 07:28:56 AM
Hey everyone,
I just finished this skirt last friday to wear to a camp I was going to... It rained all weekend so that was a no-go. Then I actually did wear to the school elections where I was running for VP, and I lost... So either i'm unlucky or this skirt is unlucky, you decide.

7  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Everybody loves a pirate costume >Pic Heavy? on: April 23, 2005 11:28:37 AM
Wow I haven't posted a project in such a long time! I actually would call this gypsy/pirate. Ok so, for my musical Copacabana we needed to find our own pirate costumes, but my friends and I decided to make our own. Here's a bunch of pics of my costume (skirt from scratch and top added corset thing):

semi-pirate pose!

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Yikes...See-through! on: June 10, 2004 04:57:25 PM
Oh my... I'm in a stitch here. I bought a totally cute orange bathing suit. The bottoms have a kick ass belt. BUT... the bottoms are see-through! Real bad! So i was wondering if you can buy the lining at fabric stores... or if anyone knows how to take apart bottoms and add full lining.. front to back?would i do it in two pieces or one?
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Stripey top on: June 09, 2004 01:25:08 PM
Finally! I got photobucket so i can post my stuff. Here's a top that me and my grandmother diessected. It was just a plain stripey sleeveless tee. It was a top i had designed. I like it alot but the sleeves are messed up in this pic. I actually went back and fixed them a little because they were uncomfortable. Well here it is..

10  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / CANADA / Fashion Design future options on: June 06, 2004 09:40:52 AM
Hello everyone,
I'm Janelle and i'm going into grade 11 following the summer. I just recently started sewing my own clothing designs with my grandmother... my machine has yet to be fixed Sad But anyways I'm preparing to go to university or college and study fashion design and I was wondering if anyone has taken or is currently taking a fashion design program, preferably in Canada? I just need some opinions on where to go to get the best training! Thanks loads.
