i just found the art league (which runs classes out of the torpedo factory as well as two other locations) and i am now taking a ceramics class.  i am so excited, it is something i have always wanted to learn.  anyone else in the area for some organized arts and craft time should check it out also.

I actually live in Falls Church next to the Seven Corners shopping center with the G-Street, Joanna's and Micheals, it was one of the reasons I fell in love with my apartment building.  As for tips I have been a horrible craftster the last couple months, so much has changed in my life that I have been super stressed out which should be the perfect time to relax through crafting.  The one thing I found which I am absolutely in love with is Easter Market on Sundays.  It is like a giant flea market and farmers market all rolled into one.  I am hoping to go back in the next couple weeks, but have been having trouble finding others to go with me.  It is a perfect no stress Sunday.  Buy a croissant and drink and wander through all of the booths admiring what people are selling.  I hope you are enjoying the DC area as much as I am and I will make sure to keep posting any other tips I come up with.

I am such a lucky girl!!!
I recieved a knit embroidered pillow, a sewn pillow, placemats, a tea cup candle with saucer, a journal with katherine hepburn and an amazing crocheted purse, it is amazing, and it was her first time crocheting!  She excellently captured my love for old movie glamour.

I am having the same problem, I can't find it, but it looks pretty awesome.  I looked at the supermarkets, the bookstore chain around here and micheals and am not coming up with it anywhere.  Anyone?

Wow you are amazing, I can't wait to get started, I love the multi-layered one, but I think I may go for the first one since this is my first major stencil project (small simple shapes prior) but I love them all, thank you.
