Jellybones has recieved her package and said I could post the pictures.  Here is what I sent her:

If the picture doesn't work here is the link for the picture of everything:

Here is a close up of the magnet organizer I sent her:

Each branch has a different day of the week on it, and there are apple magnets to hold the leaf sheets.  There are different colors so that different types of appointments can be color-coded.

Here is a close up of the purse:

It includes an owl coin purse, and a leaf pocket which is removable.  Also the top of the tree is a pocket.

I also made her a fabric and bead necklace which can be seen in the big picture.

2  Re: Glass Marble Magnets in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by douglasa on: January 15, 2006 09:49:10 PM
I made some today for my friends christmas gifts (a little late but I haven't seen them since I left school for winter break and god knows i couldn't accomplish anything during finals.)  They turned out well.  I had fun coming up with ideas for each set.  I have sushi, authors, the beatles, alcohols, spiderman and more.  Here are just a few where the pictures actually turned out okay:

This was such an awesome idea I made it immediately, however I glued as I was going because I used a hot glue gun.  Sorry my pictures are so blurry.

If you can't see them you should be able to see them here:

4  crazy, bright color dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by douglasa on: January 14, 2006 06:40:22 PM
Here is a dress I made last night.  The green is a stretchy tube of fabric I had.  The yellow is a curtain I bought at a yard sale and finally the polka dot is super sale halloween fabric.  I just kinda winged it.  the yellow and the polka dots are just circle skirts from square-ish fabric.  I really like it though I have no idea where I can wear it.

5  crocheted necklace in Beads: Completed Projects by douglasa on: December 25, 2005 10:30:03 PM
i found the idea in a crochet magazine but i improvised since i left the magazine at school.  so far i have made three, one for my mother, one for my godmother and a third today that i may actually keep.  if you can crochet it is really easy.  if people are interested i can write up some instructions though you can probably figure it out on your own.  here is a picture of my most recent, that i may keep.  it was made with silver wire and white, green and blue beads.  sorry the picture is so bad, still learning how to use my new computer.

if that doesn't work you can also find a picture here:

i was thinking of making a bunch and trying to sell them.  my entire family thought they were great, but since it is my family i am not sure if they are sincere.  let me know what you think and how much i could sell them as.  i was thinking around $15.  So i would sell them to stores for between $5 and $7, maybe more if i get nicer beads.

Thanks for looking,
ashley

6  first post of stuff i have made (tutu, fancy skirt, mannequin) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by douglasa on: December 25, 2005 10:21:46 PM
Hey everyone!  I got a new digital camera for christmas Grin since my other one broke Cry and so I can now finally post pictures of a few things I made.
Today with the extra time because I wasn't working and with the help from my brother I made a duct tape dress form.  It turned out well enough for my uses, though it could be better if I had someone helping who was more patient and I planned it out better.

The next thing is a tutu I made.  I have wanted one for years and so I was having a birthday party for my 22nd birthday and decided to make one.  It is made from black and pink tulle with blanket edging for the top (the silky stuff you put around fleece blankets).  I chose to add the pink because the black I was using was actually decorating stuff used for halloween so it wasn't very comfortable, where as the pink was soft tulle from joanna's.  I think it turned out really well except that it was too big
The front:

The back:

Finally the last thing I was able to take pictures of today was a circle skirt I made for over the tutu.  I had a fancy formalish thing for my haus for the end of the semester so I started with a circle skirt and then with the help of a friend we pinned up around it to give it a cool valance look.  I think it turned out well though I really need to work on it.  I plan on adding a zipper and then the black blanket stuff i used for the tutu around the top.  I also need to redo where it is pinned and then tack it, but overall I am happy with it:

Hope you all enjoy,
ashley
