1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / I finally finished my Tilted Duster on: October 12, 2007 01:33:22 PM
I finished my Tilted Duster from Interweave Knits Fall 07 issue. I have been bad about posting on here, but mainly because I haven't been working on much more than the sweater. But now it's done and I love it, except I have to change the buttons because these are too small.

I used Berroco Peruvia in Grano and used size 9 (US) needles. The pattern was really easy to follow and I loved that the skirt was done on circulars after sewing the fronts and the back.
2  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Where do you start? on: October 12, 2007 01:11:31 PM
My mom just recently gave me her Singer and while I've done a little sewing here and there, I haven't done much. (I'm currently over my head working on a Halloween costume for my 9 month old daughter.)

But I love looking at quilts. And I love fabric. I just don't know where to start. Any suggestions on websites? Books? Tools? Fabrics? Anything I need to know before diving into this madness?
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Another Rusted Root Done! on: July 03, 2007 08:25:58 PM
I fixed the damn hole in the back and took some pictures! Yay! Smiley

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / I need help with a neckline on: September 21, 2006 09:08:35 AM
I made the Pullover Caftan from Interweave Knits Spring 06 issue. Unfortunately the sweater is too big. Sad I need to rework the neck line so that the sweater won't fall off my shoulders so much. The instructions say to pick up and knit 100 stitches around the sweater neckline. Row 2: Knit and do 11 decrease = 89 sts. BO.

Two rows will not make this fit. So what can I do to make it fit? Right now it seems like it's more of a boatneck type sweater because of the openings on the fronts. Any suggestions?
