1  Re: Tilted Duster from IK Fall 07 in Knitalongs by temptingpsydfx on: October 12, 2007 01:36:06 PM
I just finished mine, though I'm going to change the buttons. Here's a finished pic, (the rest are on the Completed Projects forum if you'd like to take a look).

I would greatly suggest using the yarn the pattern calls for. It's really soft and very warm when knit up. I bought mine off of Ebay for a really good price, so check out their deals!

2  I finally finished my Tilted Duster in Knitting: Completed Projects by temptingpsydfx on: October 12, 2007 01:33:22 PM
I finished my Tilted Duster from Interweave Knits Fall 07 issue. I have been bad about posting on here, but mainly because I haven't been working on much more than the sweater. But now it's done and I love it, except I have to change the buttons because these are too small.

I used Berroco Peruvia in Grano and used size 9 (US) needles. The pattern was really easy to follow and I loved that the skirt was done on circulars after sewing the fronts and the back.

5  Re: Cable Along? in Knitalongs by temptingpsydfx on: June 24, 2007 09:15:42 PM
I'll cable along too.

I started the Cabled Tunic from the Fall o6 Vogue a few months back, (a lot happened in between since then)...and I'm only on the first few inches of the front, (though the back is completely done). Hopefully this KAL will give me incentive to keep working on it because I really, really would like to have this sweater done by September.

Here's a pic of the progress of front:

And the finished back:

6  Re: Pinwheel Sweater for Children... KAL in Knitalongs by temptingpsydfx on: June 22, 2007 03:34:21 PM
So it only took me about 9 months to do, but my Pinwheel is done. I started in September, moved in October, had my daughter in December, and just finally picked it up to finish the sleeves last night. My neighbors daughter saw it and it looks like I might be making one in pinks!

Gotchya...I ended up doing a little creative math and made it work either way Wink

Now I'm at the purl/knit sections. I haven't decided if I'm going to do the I cord for the edging though. We aren't sure if we are having a boy or girl yet. But I think that the loop edging won't look right on a boy. Any suggestions on what I could do for an edging if I don't do the loop?

Here's what I have so far:
