Congratulations!  Books are really important, but he's right, you completely brought it to life!  Imagine it being chucked in a chipper instead of you working over it to make it even more great.  Cheesy

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!  I'm in Canada so I'm going with Staples & Office Depot, at max $20 for 250 sheets of heavy cardstock.  (8cents a sheet!)  So, if you're not in the Great White North just check out your local office supply store.  If they don't have your colour, keep looking, cuz Staples doesn't have the bright colours you and I are looking for.  =)  Congratulations on your wedding, and good luck!

Please note I haven't purchased anything from these places before! I'm looking for assorted stuff, so I haven't really checked the individual colours, but here's what I found.

However, I did find that most of them ended up being around 30cents a sheet.

Depending on what you get, 30-45cents a sheet.

A wide selection of stuff, anywhere from 16-45cents a sheet.  They've got a lot of the bright colours, so you might find it here...

And of course your local arts/crafts stores.
4  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: Crafty Business Books for Canada on: January 26, 2009 08:26:42 AM
Alrighty, I ended up going with "Start and Run a Craft Business", by William G. Hynes.  It's not a pretty book, but it's useful.  I think it's more useful for people selling in retail/wholesale, because the chapter on online selling is pretty sucky.

Hullo Craftsters!

I'm at the very, very beginning of starting to sell my crafts and I'm looking for a good book to help me along and act as a reference as I make my way.  Thing is, all I can find are books based in the US.  Could someone help me out here?  Thank you!!!
6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: ideas welcome for a gift to suit gay fashion designer buddy on: October 17, 2007 04:09:48 PM
Flashcards?  50's fashion flashcards with witty captions.
Or paper doll dress up.

Honestly...this post is just so I could say that I'm gay, and I don't really mind if people say stuff like, "gay fashion designer buddy."  I know some people who WOULD be offended, but it depends on the person.  I'm really involved in the community, and as much as sexuality is one part of you, it can change a lot.  Being queer led me to question a lot of different things in life, and yes, it's totally part of me.  To each his own, non?
7  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Wintertime Gifts for Boyfriend -- Help Needed! on: December 06, 2006 07:48:03 AM
I always liked the idea of getting empty medicine capsules from a pharmacy and stuffing them with little rolled up notes and giving it to your loved one with a "prescription" written on the side that says to take one each morning.

I'm going to use that one too!  That's a great idea!

If you have some old ticket stubs around, you could use those to make something...(I know, it's vague.)  Mixed CD, a video of her and good times with your friends, a VERY LARGE basketball, and maybe...hmm...makin g a board game is a lot of work.  I know this post isn't that helpful but...it's all I could think of.  I hope she feels better soon!
