hey cameras4toys-- i made that same mistake on my first sock from that pattern! what you are supposed to do is just carry the yarn over for the FIRST STITCH of the next color so that you have only ONE stitch that has two different colors, and treat that ONE as a single stitch later. sorry to tell you now- if it makes you feel any better i think your socks look awesome anyway and the color scheme rocks!
those are both great! i've been working on my camera cozy forever-- i'm felting mine, and i have finally gotten around to the felting part but i want to wait until i have more to felt so as not to waste a lot of water over one little thing. anyway, when it's done i'll post it here. cristalle- how did you make your little bird button?
fantastic work. if i was your friend and i got a bag like that with some kickin' mags in it, i'd be thrilled, because, really, it makes me think of those old school bags that were made for kids in book clubs. you know, THE book bag? this is THE mag bag. and, don't change the handles. i love the handles just as they are, that bag looks like it would be too long to be a messenger bag- it would be thumpin' on your friend's bottom the whole time! okay, those are my opinions! again: awesome.
"This cream bag is my own design....first attempt:) What do you all think? I haven't figure out how to spice it up yet. I brought it to work last week and my co worker really likes it. Im going to add it to my x'mas project list."
i love both of the bags- they're not at all frumpy, which i sometimes feel knitted purses come out looking like. if you want to "spice" up the cream one a bit, you might try adding some cool, big, colorful buttons where the handles meet the body of the bag. again- very nice!
um, okay, i think it's very "knitty"! try submitting it to magknits instead- they're hip! anyway, i think those are great. i know a few ladies who will go gaga over these in, say, day-glo orange, to match their teal 80's pumps! thanks for the pattern!
that really is a fantastic poncho! and it's your first wearable knitted piece? and you made up the pattern yourself?! i think that's amazing. i'm pretty good with the ol' needles, but i haven't been comfortable enough to firgure out my own patterns yet. you should submit that to knitty or magknits!
wow. thank you all very, very much. finding alternative cleaning products/ideas was on a very long list of things to research online, and now it has all been brought to me on one, easy thread. y'all are the best!
thanks, neany, for doing that! the purse is even better than i imagined! i really like designs with numbers involved-- all the purses look so cool. i'll just have to get right on making one!
actually I dont know I want one for a pendant. I'm scared of spiders (well mostly they just creep me out eww) but I want to go against the norm and make one to wear. Face my icky fears lol
awesome. i got necklace for my younger sister that had a beetle in it and she was not at all pleased at first because she can't stand bugs, (honestly--for once!-- i was trying to be thoughtful because i got myself one and usually she likes my taste in jewelry, i completely forgot that she hated bugs). but then, about a week later, she called me to tell me that she felt like a headhunter and that she felt empowered by the necklace! totally cracked me up-- i hope it works for you!
