Yep, you could! I haven't done it with the big altoid tins, but I made a pendant/locket out of an altoid strips container. I drilled a hole in the back part, then since I didn't have any jump rings or jewelry wire, I stripped the plastic off of some garbage ties. Then I wound that through the hole a couple of times to make a jump ring.
You could wear it empty or put change or pills, matches or even a photo in there.

I got this old glass jar in a white elephant exchange at Xmas, and thought I'd cover it in clay and put kitchen utensils in it.

Also, a friend gave us a bottle of nice olive oil, and when it was done I covered it in clay. I don't know what I'll do with it, maybe give it away as a gift.

This isn't an altoid tin, its a tin that one of my friends got with tobacco in it. But its similar to Altoids so I thought I'd put it here. I covered it with polymer clay.

I've been making  clay beads to put on purse handles for a woman who is knitting purses. I wonder if these would work for cigar box purses?  Not this exact color, but just the idea.
