1  Re:pendant lamp re-vamp in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by clayaddict on: March 29, 2004 06:12:23 PM
sorry that it took so long, but I can't even write a grocery list without throwing in a little bit of design...

I'm sure that I must have left something out, so let me know if you are having any troubles!
Damn that's cool! I love the design and the idea.

2  Re:Cigarette tins covered with clay in Completed Projects by clayaddict on: March 25, 2004 07:15:53 PM
Yep, you could! I haven't done it with the big altoid tins, but I made a pendant/locket out of an altoid strips container. I drilled a hole in the back part, then since I didn't have any jump rings or jewelry wire, I stripped the plastic off of some garbage ties. Then I wound that through the hole a couple of times to make a jump ring.
You could wear it empty or put change or pills, matches or even a photo in there.

3  Re: Coffee Tins, Glass Jars, Plastic Containers in What the heck can I do with THIS? by clayaddict on: March 25, 2004 04:00:38 PM
I got this old glass jar in a white elephant exchange at Xmas, and thought I'd cover it in clay and put kitchen utensils in it.

Also, a friend gave us a bottle of nice olive oil, and when it was done I covered it in clay. I don't know what I'll do with it, maybe give it away as a gift.

This isn't an altoid tin, its a tin that one of my friends got with tobacco in it. But its similar to Altoids so I thought I'd put it here. I covered it with polymer clay.

5  Re:Cigarbox Purses in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by clayaddict on: March 08, 2004 10:39:26 AM
I've been making  clay beads to put on purse handles for a woman who is knitting purses. I wonder if these would work for cigar box purses?  Not this exact color, but just the idea.
