Didn't we all do well Wink ? sorry for being a bit of an absentee organiser. I'm on the case with the feedback.

So, as I threatened a few posts back, I finally got around to going to the local hairdressers to get my hair washed and dried.

My dreads aren't that long but there are a lot of them and in the damp UK autumn they just don't dry quick enough. So I got them washed with some residue-free 'detox' shampoo they had, then I sat under the old-fashioned space-helmet hairdryer for an hour and a half, knitting a sock.

It was great! I'd forgotten how nice it is to have someone else wash my hair. They tied my dreads up in a net while I was under the dryer and they all dried nicely apart from a couple of tips which escaped from the net. I'll definitely be going back. They only charged me ten quid Grin

Could a person use maybe a bonnet type hair dryer on their dreads to spead up the drying?

The hairdresser's in my village has a row of those old-fashioned hairdryers that you sit under. For a while now I've been thinking of asking the owner if I can pay to sit under one of them for an hour or two on a Saturday morning after I've washed my hair. Especially with the winter coming on: when the air is damp my dreads take more than 24 hours to dry. I think it would be rather nice to sit under a dryer with my knitting while it rains outside Cheesy

When you make shirts, does the ink hold up in the wash?

I had mixed results. On a green cotton t-shirt my print washed out after 2 washes. But on a pair of white cotton knickers (I tranfered an eye onto the front to freak out my husband Grin) the print has faded but is still there after maybe 6 washes. Hope that helps.

Blimey this post has come back from the dead! Thanks for all your kind remarks. I'm still using my reversible bag but it's looking a bit worse for wear these days. It needs a good wash Cheesy
