Adorable!  I better be careful--if my DD sees these pics she'll be wanting one too. Smiley

Cute!  I love the rickrack in the last one. . .adds some fun texture to it. Smiley
13  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Re: Baby Onesies... on: March 05, 2008 12:31:21 PM
I haven't ordered from Dharma myself, but I've heard good stuff from others who have. . .

ITA with Kymy on the Carter's recommendation, too--soft, thick, and generously sized.  If there's a Carter's store near you, sign up for their mailing list--they send out coupons ALL the time.  Smiley

Wowie!  I always want to give smocking a try when I see finished projects like this. . .so beautiful!  I especially like the details on the 2nd one.  Smiley

So darling!  I love the extra-wide sash. . .I think I need to give this style of dress a try!  Smiley
16  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Re: help with the top of my dress on: March 05, 2008 09:22:19 AM
Awww, that's a cute dress!  I'm not so great at drafting patterns and such--but it looks like 2 triangles finished with bias binding and then overlapped.  It looks like the underarm might be finished with bias binding as well, that extends up beyond the underam to create the ties. . .does that help at all?  Cry

Woo, congrats to your sister!  Smiley

Dharma Trading (http://www.dharmatrading.com) has all sorts of "blanks", including onesies--look under the "rompers and one-pieces" section of the infants & toddlers clothing.  Smiley

So cute, and they look quite comfortable too! That mushroom fabric is truly awesome.  Smiley
19  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Re: fleece hat pattern help? on: February 21, 2008 08:29:55 PM
I was going to suggest the grasshopper knotty hat as well. . .or how about a "scoodie" a la vegbee?  Smiley
20  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Scandi Mei Tai and a Simply Sweet Twirly Skirt - IMGs on: February 16, 2008 06:55:41 PM
Nice work!  I hope your kiddo starts feeling better soon.  But in the meantime at least she can ride in style and comfort.  Smiley

Ooh, using old jeans for the straps--what a great idea. . .it's heavy-duty but pre-softened!  I bought canvas to make my MT and it was SO stiff and uncomfortable at first. . . Embarrassed I'm going to remember the recycled jeans idea for the next one I make, for sure.  Smiley
