...the excitement I am feeling over producing my very first, very tiny skein of handspun yarn.

I'm addicted, so you'll be seeing more of me around these parts.

Has anyone been to Daiso, the Japanese dollar store in Aberdeen Centre?

I'm going today for the first time...supposedly everything there is $2 and there are two floors of housewares, crafty things, makeup, etc etc etc.

I'm really excited to see what kinds of cheapie goodies I can find!!!
4  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / punk rock backpack - revamped on: October 27, 2005 03:39:17 PM
I made this a few months back, but thought I would post anyway.

I didn't like the designs offered in the book so just graphed out a simple star to intarsia on there.

Out of all my knitted creations, this one gets the most compliments from total strangers.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / jewellery - knitting with wire on: October 27, 2005 03:15:29 PM
Has anyone tried this?  Do you have any tips on making this EASY!!!

I just started making a simple garter stitch necklace (I plan to twist it when it is done)

This is about as far as I have gotten, my fingers are sore and I want to give up...but I know this will look AMAZING when it's done.
