4  Re: "Let's Do the iTunes Shuffle!" - Round 3 - Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by KungPow on: July 19, 2006 09:20:00 AM
I received from peariso yesterday.

The lovely cd case, adorable...I love the strawberries!

And the inside, it's a little booklet of cd casesl....very useful (I'm thinking, ROAD TRIP):

um, I don't think I'm going to type out the song list but it looks very interesting...I think we have a lot of the same taste in music!  And like I said in my PM, there is no such thing as too much Beatles!

Thanks so much Smiley

Here are the lovely goodies SewPixie sent me.

First, the top:

Here's the skirt, which goes perfectly with the top:

And the extra goodies she sent along:

Earrings (that match the outfit, of course)
2 balls of Moda Dea Cache (she had no idea this is one of my favourite yarns....you can probably tell that 1/2 a skein has already been used out of one, I had to crochet up a brooch as soon as I got it)
the hilarious and highly recommended book "The Secret Life of a Knitter" by YarnHarlot (I've already finished reading it!)

thanks so much SewPixie!

6  I know YOU will all understand.... in Spinning: Completed Projects by KungPow on: July 12, 2006 09:36:33 AM
...the excitement I am feeling over producing my very first, very tiny skein of handspun yarn.

I'm addicted, so you'll be seeing more of me around these parts.

7  Re: fill a coin purse round 4 in The Swap Gallery by KungPow on: April 16, 2006 04:58:52 PM
okay as promised, pictures of all the goodies lacey sent me.

First, the lovely coin purse (in my favourite colours no less).  I love that she strayed from the "traditional rectangle coin purse" and sent me a weirdly shaped one.  love it.

And now, all the goodies that would not only NOT fit into the coin purse in a million years, they also won't fit into just one picture.  That is how spoiled I am.

Part 1:

candy, gummy bear scented soap, gummy bear flavoured lip gloss keychain, adorable little lip gloss pots shaped (and scented/flavoured) like chocolate, adorable vintage fridge magnets (these are perfect, you noted my fridge magnet fetish in our exchanges, haha)

Part 2:

blank notecards, beads, a neat flipflop rubber stamp, yarn needles and point protectors (my points have been practicing unprotected travelling, yikes!) eyeshadow, tiny containers, and zebra print decorative tape (how random, I love it!)

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU LACEY!!!

haha you're so funny bloo!!!  I'm glad you are enjoying your hat and that it got to you quick and safe and sound, thank you for all your kind comments.

Here are the pics I have, not the best quality as all I have right now is a crappy grainy webcam.

Hiding my bad hair day:

I received my knitting needle rollup earlier this week from gerbilonwheels, but did not have a chance to take pictures until now.

Tada!

And an "action" shot of my needles cozying up to each other:

Sorry for the crappy pictures, they certainly do not do this lovely piece of work justice.

Thanks gerbilonwheels!!!

I received from SlickMariaVic, everything is great!!

She sent me:
- Larger greenish coin purse with a knitting poodle embroidered on it.  It is so adorable and I'm going to use it to hold my stitch holders, stitch markers, row counters, etc.
- smaller brown round coin purse with blue beads embroidered to it, I told her brown and blue were my favourite colours so this is perfect!  I love it.
- antique postcards of her hometown
- "knitting girl" mints in an adorable tin
- lollipop, clip, and stickers

Unfortunately I am having some problems with the pictures so won't be able to post moreright away, but here is a close up of the larger bag, sorry it's a bit blurry.

Thanks so much!!!
