Just making sure. Thanks for clarifying.

Just to clarify, are we supposed to be making stuff for the girls that is girly or has girly words on it or something? Or is this just like a generic swap but with members of the opposite sex?

Crafty boys may often be found at yarn shops that have hot employees who make said crafty boy feel very attractive and wanted. We like having crafty girls drool all over us and fantasize about knitting together naked. Am I allowed to say that?
5  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / Faux Silkscreening on: July 01, 2006 09:39:46 AM
It seems I may be the only one bothered by this, but I feel the need to say something anyway.

I love silkscreening. I lurve it. Photo--emulsion or screen filler, I think it's a great craft.

I don't like the faux method (i.e. embroidery hoop, mod podge, etc.) I think that the main problem with it is that it SOUNDS a lot easier than doing more traditional silkscreening, especially emulsion, and the silkscreening board has become saturated with it. I think that Faux-printing definitely deserves its place on Craftster, but I think it should have it's own board alongside the stenciling and silkscreening boards. Call it Faux-Printing or Mod-Podge-Silkscreening or whatever. This way people who want to know about the faux method will have a place to look for it and people who only want the real thing will have a place to look for that too.

Anybody with me?

I'm in, but I hope you guys aren't holding your breath for that remote control tampon dispenser. You're a lot more likely to get a knitted bra.
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Boy-Girl swap? on: July 01, 2006 09:20:20 AM
As one of the few crafty boys on here I think it behooves me to sign up.

I just read Cunt by Inga Muscio and I'm inspired to make some girl-friendly stuff. Homemade pads anybody?

I'll be a little late too. I was procrastinating and by the time I got to the craft shop they were out of Silkscreen fabric. It's on order. Sad Should be here in a couple of days.

Then water based ink is the way to go. After you wash it, it should have a fairly soft touch.
