1  Grrrr-illa in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by monoped on: October 05, 2006 12:41:05 AM
I whipped this angry looking fella up over the weekend as a prototype for a line of ami's I want to make & maybe sell.

I'd love to know what you think.

2  Tubby amigurumi monster in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by monoped on: September 06, 2006 09:18:55 PM
My friend Mardi put in a request for an ami for a friend's new bub, the outline she gave me was "make a monster" so I came up with this tubby fella. Many thanks to Pureeva for the directions for making the puppet style mouth & the popcorn stitch thumbs.

3  Re: Smokers Ages 18+ Swap in The Swap Gallery by monoped on: August 08, 2006 09:53:59 PM
Giddyup!

Here's pics of the wondeful parcel morbid_lady sent me.

And with the pouch open & in use

I forgot to mention the Smokin CD she compiled which has some great smoke-themed tunes like Smokin in the Boys Room (go the Crue) & a parody of the Canadian National Anthem. Also the badge says "Cancer cures Smoking" not the other way round like I thought.

Thanks again morbid_lady. Now I can smoke in crafty-style.

4  A mouse, a robot & a plan for world domination in Knitting: Completed Projects by monoped on: July 26, 2006 01:12:44 AM
I've been wanting to try my hand at illusion knitting to see how it worked. I found a pattern I liked at http://www.patricialillie.com/knits/robotsscarf.pdf & knitted it up with some scrap yarn.

Scruff was amazed that a robot could hide itself in a piece of knitting & quickly began devising a plan to take control of the planet.

5  Roofie the 80's Monkey in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by monoped on: June 06, 2006 06:20:17 PM
I made Roofie (originally named Richard Simians) for my dear friend Eyesalight's 30th b'day. He also has bright blue wrist-bands & head-band for when his needs to get his cardio on & a frog hat for when he's feeling amphibious.

Here he is enjoying some lunch on his day trip to China-town (the woman sitting behind me was wetting herself laughing when I took the photo).

6  My first FO, a beanie. in Knitting: Completed Projects by monoped on: May 30, 2006 09:45:24 PM
I can't believe it, I've finished my first real knitted item (as opposed to simple ipod socks). I had a friend teach me to use dpn's then set about making a beanie for to keep my bald head warm this winter. It only took me a couple of days to make & I even managed to fix my stuff-ups (instead of frogging & starting over every time). I'm already a third of the way through my next one.

excuse the dodgy pic.

8  Re: Serial Killer Sweater in Stenciling: Completed Projects by monoped on: February 09, 2006 11:46:01 PM
I would kill (repeatedly, over periods of time) for that sweater  Grin. It looks like part of a pyjama set. Dennis Nielsen would make a nice addition to the team too.

to get your pics to work you have to copy everything between & including "[img] [img]" & past that in your post  Grin. Hope that helps ya.

10  KLF is gonna rock yah (+Ghostworld) in Stenciling: Completed Projects by monoped on: February 06, 2006 04:13:52 AM
Hi all.

These are my first attempts at stencilling & I'm pretty darn pleased with the results. The first one is of Enid from Ghostworld the movie. When I did it there was some weird bleeding in the letters but I iron set it then washed it & they'd dissapeared, yippee!

The next is (ob(li)viously) KLF. I needed something to wear to work to spice up a 12 hr Monday shift so wipped this up in about 10 minutes, life's so much easier when you can guide your blade with a ruler. Excse the bad pics.

If'n anyone wants to praise me, feel free, or if you just want me to post the stencils say the word.
