I know this is supposed to be a really easy pattern, just short-rows and garter stitch, however I have just started it and it looks positively "L-shaped" I cannot work out what I am doing wrong, any ideas?

It's the Tasseled Grey One, I have seen similar ones, but the hood looks really nicely shaped rather than just folding the scarf in two and sewing it.

OK, I am trying this beautiful pattern, I have knitted the base triangles and now am completely flummoxed...it says to purl front and back...from where, where do I attach the yarn? I was doing so well and now I feel like a fool!

I have no clue as to what I am doing wrong, I cast on the required # of stitches and start to increase Knit One Make One, and ALWAYS end up with more stitches than I should have. I have tried this many times and always just give up, but I really want to make Knitty's TOPI and am determined to find out how to do this. Any ideas?

I am just starting this pattern and am already baffled, so if anyone has made this successfully I would appreciate their help. I am knitting the brim-sideways as it states, but it seems as if it would be far too wide compared with the illustration, it doesn't say that it needs to be folded over, but that seems to make the most sense. There is no schematic either, so cannot use that as a guide. Has anyone knitted this?

Does such a thing exist..in my dreams I see a simple pattern with a slight empire shape as if the Simple Knitted Bodice were a tank top rather than a sweater. Bottom up would be fine also maybe with stitches picked up for the straps. Help please. I have some lovely Bamboo from Plymouth that I think would make a lovely tank.

I was wondering..as I loathe doing lace and love cables, if anyone knows of a pattern for a cabled shawl. Also I read somewhere that most of the patterns in Glampyre's book are in worsted weight, are there any in dk or sport , I am going to be knitting on a Hawaiian beach and don't want heavy yarn. Thanks
