I finally made one!!!!  my next one will definately be stretch fabric....and not see through material...because i had to make two layers for my skirt....but i like the poofyness.

this is my favorite way to wear it....sorry horrible picture.

i added a white tshirt scrap around the middle....because i dont have a white belt

and the pin i put on it....

i cant wait to make another one!

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: new clothes for me!!!!! on: June 05, 2006 10:56:09 AM
thanks!!

missbratzdoll -  i dont really know how to explain it, but i guess for the polka dotted part i just measured around my bust, and then used that for how long to cut that peice.....and then for the bottom part i used the same measurement from my bust, but i added a few inches, so i would have some room to gather it, to make it look all ripply.  I i ruched the material in the spot i wanted it, and then sewed the top peice to the bottom....and then sewed the whole thing up the side.  it was just a plain tube top but then i just added straps and made a sort of sweet heart neckline, and put the heart button there.  and i just realized that sounds confusing.

and......... nope!  i didnt stencil the images on the first shirt. Smiley

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / new clothes for me!!!!! on: June 04, 2006 07:24:34 PM
I really love making new clothes for myself,  it feels just as good as buying them, and its more fun to flaunt lol.

heart button and gathering are a little crooked on this one!! oops!!

the way im holding my shirt is odd.  but you couldnt see the lace part so i did what i had to do.

this is actually a reconstruction but oh well.  it was a mens large plain black tshirt and i resized it and stenciled everything on it.

Thanx for lookin'!
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Who needs UO when you've got a sewing machine? on: April 14, 2006 10:15:58 PM
your bag is gorgeous.  way better than the other one.
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / oh what a polka dotted dress!!! on: March 31, 2006 05:24:22 PM
so i wanted a polka dot dress and i set out to make one.
i bought myself a pattern, and it turns out that i hate patterns.
so instead of following the pattern, i just cut the pieces out and sewed them how i want.
much faster than following directions!!!!

i was pretty pumped about this one.........

it was my first time sewing with fabric that isnt stretchy, so therefore it was my first time sewing a zipper on a piece of clothing, which im sure would be a funny thing to watch me do.

sorry the pic is so dark and funny looking.
