1011  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: scary cat bag on: November 27, 2005 07:21:58 PM
That is totally sweet - I love it!

I don't think it looks evil at all - but the eyes remind me of goldfish, too. Smiley

Great job!!!
1012  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: Some Painted Onesies on: November 21, 2005 06:51:33 PM
Those are insane, I love them!!!!

My best friend paints Tshirts and such too, and to keep it from slipping she puts a clipboard inside the shirt and holds it on with binder clips from the office supply section at walmart.  Granted, a full sized clipboard isn't going to fit inside a newborn sized onesie, but they sell smaller purse sized clipboards too.  The advantage to the clipboard was that she could paint while lounging on the couch watching a movie - she doesn't need a table.
1013  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Way Too Luxurious Baby Booties on: November 21, 2005 06:25:52 PM
Those are beautiful!!!  I would put them on my baby in a heartbeat (if he'd keep anything on his feet!).  Great job!
1014  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: What to make for Christmas? on: November 04, 2005 01:58:30 PM
How about a framed pic of the gothed out trio?  Go to mugglenet.com and do a search the pic is great!!  It's in the news archives from July!

Seriously, if you use multiple strands of yarn and a huge hook, like size N or Q, crocheting a scarf would take next to no time, and you could do it in front of the TV.  And a scarf is all basic stitches, so it's simple, too.  A Slytherin scarf would be great (everyone loves Malfoy!!) and the color blocks aren't hard to do.
1015  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: In desperate need of some Christmas music. on: November 01, 2005 06:29:10 PM
Speaking of aging, don't forget Wierd Al Yankovic's "Christmas at Ground Zero" and "The Night Santa went Crazy". Grin

Myself, being in cold, miserable, way too snowy Maine, I wear out Jimmy Buffett's "Christmas Island" CD.  "Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum, Santa's run off to the Carribean."  Hehe.  Who could resist?

Not that I don't like snow.  Snowflakes are beautiful, and my decor of choice for Generic Winter Holiday(TM).  It's when they gang up on me that they piss me off. Grin
1016  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: Gifts for crafty people! on: October 31, 2005 11:13:13 AM
I don't know if it's quite what you're looking for, but all of the pattern companies have sewing organizer patterns, like machine covers, hang up organizers, paint buckets, etc.  Jo Ann's constantly has 99 cent sales on patterns and decent material in their markdown section, so you could probably make something really sweet for ten dollars or less.
1017  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: who still likes pokemon??! well i guess my 8 year old cousin does.... on: October 31, 2005 11:03:57 AM
My 7 year old son is, too.  I have a different print that I'm going to make a pillowcase out of for Christmas, and possibly some pj pants or boxer shorts.

For a girl, I'd do a skirt - it's easy and if she's anything like my girls, she won't wear pants! Roll Eyes

You could make her a mixed cd and draw the insert for it.  And give it to her a week early so she can't get mad! Grin
1019  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Disney swap 2? on: October 31, 2005 10:39:01 AM
I want in!!!  But how long will we have to create?  With the Generic Winter Holiday in December, I've got a lot of creating to do! Grin
1020  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Girly girl swap? on: October 31, 2005 10:34:47 AM
I would love to do this, but I can't for three more weeks, as I haven't been here that long.  I lurked for too long Cry.  Let me know if you do it a bit later and I'll post a lot!  Hehe!
