I'm so sorry, Jenefor!  I thought I'd already done this!

Nick modelling the scarf with Harry Potter hair as well - see it going all over the place!  lol

And here's everything together - my flash kind of ate up the pics of the potion and the notebook, I'm glad you got good pics.  Thanks so much, he loves everything!!!

22  Re: Fill A Purse Swap Gallery!!! in The Swap Gallery by kahluakiggy on: August 11, 2006 09:56:18 PM
OK, I recieved from halblingefrau today!!!  Shocked Holy amazing loot, Batman! Shocked  Check it out:

(I have a ton of pics to put up but I'm only doing three tonight because I'm wicked tired and I still have to resize all of the pics on photobucket.  I've already done these three)

I asked for a black purse with a pink skull.  I don't usually request something that specific, but I really, really wanted one.  Here's what she sent me:

This purse ROCKS.  There's a bunch of pockets and a key fob on the inside, which is lined with the coolest pink polkadot fabric!  The outside is black corderoy (sp?).

The inside:

Everything in it:

WOW....she post stalks so well. Grin  There are Aqua Teen mirrors, a Slytherin box with a pic of Snape and a Slytherin crest decoupaged in it, and a bracelet inside with a key on it.  The tag on the bracelet said "The key to Snape's heart?"  lol    There was another box with a pic of Audrey Hepburn decoupaged on it, and it says "Tara's treasures".  And then inside there was a toothpick knitting pin from my wists (original made by ax174 for the one tiny thing round 4 swap), and a BEAUTIFUL kanzashi flower button, made out of mesh type fabric.  There's a knitted alien dishcloth, which my husband thought was pretty cool (not the normal "Huh? Oh, nice.  My golf swing isn't working..."  lol )  A couple of pouches, one made out of the same fabric as the bag, and the other is knitted with a skull and crossbones.
There were toys for my furbabies - catnip eggroll and fortune cookie for my kitties, and a bone for Snuffles - I tried getting pics of them in action, but Snuffy turned away, and my kitty Lucius kept trying to lick the camera.  Sigh...  There was also a very cool babysitter's info pad, which has a space for them to rate your kids and put down whether they'd ever babysit again.  lol  A complaint memo pad, a kitty mousepad calendar, a couple of magnets, a grow your own flamingo, cool pink sparkly yarn, some sweet shoelaces, and a box of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, which I am so tempted to give to my kids, just to laugh at their faces, but I think that would probably be bad parenting...  lol  If I eat one too, it's not, though. Right? Grin

Thanks so much, halblingefrau!!!  You rock!  And thanks, hardcoremothball, for organizing!!

23  Re: Favourite Alcoholic Drink 2 in The Swap Gallery by kahluakiggy on: August 11, 2006 08:18:13 PM
I recieved from D-spot!  Check it out:

Everything together.

Closeup of the box, which now holds all of my umbrellas and mini swords and other goodies!  Wink

The apron, which just rocks!

And the recipe book, full of yummy-looking recipes, and the super-amazing pincushion with salt shaker pins!!!!!!

I also got 2 rimmers, one is Sauza tequila flavored salt, which is absolutely yummy and got used often yesterday at the Jimmy Buffett concert  (well, in the parking lot beforehand...) and one is Malibu flavored sugar, also yummy; plus a set of stickers that will look very good on the scrapbook pages for yesterday!!!

Thanks so much, D-spot, I love everything!  And thanks for organizing, jane feebles!  This swap absolutely rocked!!!!

Oh, and by the way, I learned something amazing yesterday.  If you lift up your shirt for drunk guys in parking lots, they will give you free tequila.  And tshirts.  Even if you've had 4 kids in the last 8 years, and are no longer small in the belly.  lol  Why doesn't that work in bars?

24  Re: HP Favourite House Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by kahluakiggy on: August 11, 2006 07:52:55 PM
Actually, I've just gotten them up finally - and here they are!!!

My AMAZING loot from imwiththeband - fleece blanket that my (Gryffindor!) son tried to steal, handmade journal, Wizard rock CD which has a permanent place in my CD player, pillows, and a sweet bad guy purse (except for Snape, of course - he's good!)!

The absolutely sweet purse (by the way, if it looks full, that's because it is - I've been using it since I got it!)

Closeup of the pillows, which I love:

The inside of the journal that she made, I am totally in awe, I've never made a book and imagine it to be really difficult (which is why I've never made one):

Sadly, my camera refused to take pics of the outside, no detail would show up.  So if you'd like to post pics of it, and also the super comfy blanket, which is in all of the shots but I forgot to take a seperate pic, because I'm dumb, please do.  Smiley

Thanks so much, imwiththeband!  I love everything!!!  And thank you, kristen81, for organizing!

My second package to you, imwiththeband, will be going out on Wednesday.  It has your big item, as well as something else...  Yeah...  lol

25  Kahluakiggy's Random Cakes (updated 6/4/2008!) in Dessert by kahluakiggy on: July 26, 2006 03:56:15 AM
My 2 year old (!!!) LOVES Finding Nemo.   (He says Momo.  Too cute. Grin )  So for his birthday cake for on his birthday (which is today) I made a Nemo cake.  (He gets a Blue's Clues one for his party.)  So...Nemo.

I went online and found an image of Nemo, then kind of looked back and forth from the monitor to the cake and drew it with a toothpick.  It's not great, but Elijah knows who it is, so I must've done something right, right?  lol  After his dinner tonight, I'll try to post an action shot.   Grin

Thanks for looking!!

ETA:  BTW, the white stuff in the bowl is cornstarch - for smoothing the icing.  I just looked at the post, and realized it looked kind of bad. Shocked  lol

27  Shirt for Jimmy Buffett concert - OPINIONS PLEASE? in Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects by kahluakiggy on: July 19, 2006 02:37:04 PM
OK, so I have tickets for Jimmy Buffett in August, and I made a shirt to wear to it.

Constructive criticism, please?  I've never sewn a shirt before.

BTW, please forgive my braless self - my strapless bra is somewhere under Mt. Laundry - I swear I won't be wearing it to the concert that way!  lol

28  Re: Friendship Bracelet/Anklet Swap Round 2 Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by kahluakiggy on: June 15, 2006 04:50:31 PM
I sent out all of mine today!

ETA:(Next day, but I didn't want to double post...)

I recieved from jp197012 today, and she is amazing!!!!  I am nowhere near that good at tying knots!  (Sounds stupid, but it's true.  That's why I thought I was going to be sending late - because I was trying to do stuff like this, and finally realized that I suck and just can't do it.  lol  )

Here it is, my awesome Slytherin bracelet, which I love to death:

It says, "I <3 Draco forever".  How cool is that!

Action shot!!!:

And yes, what shows up as white in my crappy pictures is, in fact, metallic silver.
Thanks so much, Pauline!!!  You are awesome!

I love the denim bag with the Crest on it. Is it an iron on?

Yup, I just ironed it on to the felt and sewed the patch on.  If I were smart, I would've put the patches on BEFORE sewing the bag together,  I had to rip them three times because I sewed through the lining and then through the whole bag!  lol

OK, now...are y'all ready for this?  The greatest package has found it's way to me from cotneyroo!!!  Check it out:

Sorry it's so dark, I had my light on and the flash, but it's a really dark, dreary day here...I'll try to retake pics when (if) it gets sunny.  I got:  an absolutely stunning Slytherin scarf, which I love beyond belief, a sweet picture frame with bonus picture of Snape  (Ooh, I love Snape! Smiley  ), a lined pouch that has become my wallet, 2 yards of HP fabric with Hedwig on it, a Chocolate Frog, three notecards, and a notepad with two gel pens.
Closeups!!

Thanks so much, Cotneyroo, and thanks for organizing, Miss_Katonic!
