12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / need skirt help-thin fabric on: May 05, 2006 08:08:32 AM
I want to make myself some skirts for the Summer because I hate to wear shorts and pants are too hot.  I looked at some fabric that I thought would make pretty skirts but many seem to sheer to use alone. I don't want the skirt to be see through but I don't want to use a heavy fabric for Summer. The skirts would be for everyday casual.Any suggestions?
Nancy
13  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / The 2nd bag I've made on: April 29, 2006 12:16:20 PM
This is only the 2nd bag that I've made but first one I've posted here. I used the Skipping bag tute but made it smaller, added pockets and made the staps longer and pointed to tie together. It was fun to make.It only took two days.  I was happy with how it turned out and took these pictures before I gave it away at our neighborhood ladies game night.I hope someone else likes it too.

14  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Anyone use fabric protector spray? on: November 06, 2005 01:22:55 PM
I'm getting ready to make a bag and with Winter almost here I'm concerned about the bag getting wet/dirty when carrying it. Has anyone use one of the sprays that's suppose to protect fabrics? Does it work?
Thanks
Nancy
15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / How to make a hidden magnetic closure on bag?? on: November 01, 2005 07:57:42 PM
I've seen bags before that has a magnetic closure but it doesn't use snaps ,the magnets are hidden inside the front and flap of bag. I'd like to make a bag like this since it's easier to close it with out lining up the snap magnets. Any ideas? I'm designing a small diaper bag/purse for myself since I can't find any online or in stores like I want.
Thanks Nancy
