3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / bibs for baby shower on: September 11, 2008 01:19:01 PM
A friend at church had her 3rd baby last month. She has a 11 yo boy and a 2 yo girl. She  was expecting a girl but turns out she had a boy. Her older ds was thrilled. He had been praying for a brother. I knew she'd get plenty of clothes for shower gifts last Sunday so wanted to give her something special she couldn't buy so I came up with this idea. Ava and Gavin are the big sister and big brother. She loved the bibs.
The heart looks crooked on the Gavin bib but it's because I has the bibs prooped up on a pillow for picture.

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / wine bottle bag on: March 01, 2008 03:07:47 PM
I made this bag a few months ago after seeing a post here showing a wine bag. I took it as a gift to our neighborhood ladies Pokeno game night. I put a bottle of sparkling cider in it since wine would have put me over the $10 gift limit.  I thought it turned out real cute. I'll try to find the link if someone wants to see the post that inspired me. Nancy

I need a dress pattern to fit my size 3 dd but can't find any patterns that small she likes. I know pattern sizes run different then readymade but she's a tiny but tall 17 year old. It will be her graduation dress. Any suggestions?

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / sunglasses case for my MIL on: March 20, 2007 04:13:34 PM

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / sewing swimsuit material-Please help on: June 02, 2006 10:41:21 AM
My dd could only find one swimsuit she liked but the only size top they had was a medium which is too big around. The style is a long halter that covers the stomach. I think it will be easiest to make a seam in the center back to take it in since the top halter part is connected past the side seams. Is there any special sewing tips I need to know so that I don't mess this top up?
