1  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 2008 12" Squares ~ NOV on: December 07, 2008 08:58:40 AM
Finally have 2 squares for each month, plus one 12" granny for the center so my blanket is now a square. Just trying to figure out what joining method I want to use.

I wish I had more time to post! I'm chugging along with the squares, just no time for posting and all the other stuff I enjoy doing  Tongue

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Good Lacy Blanket suitable for Christening gifts? on: July 19, 2008 09:23:12 AM
I just made a Tiramisu for a friend and she claims to love it! lol

As far as lacy goes, I've fallen in love with Terry Kimbrough's baby afghans. She has loads of patterns published through Leisure Arts.

http://www.amazon.com/Best-Terry-Kimbrough-Afghans-Leisure/dp/1574867288/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1216484407&sr=1-4

That's the "best of" available through Amazon.com and there are many other places to get them as well. Mind you, I'm not one to buy pattern books, but these got me to relent.

www.crochetcabana.com has helped me a lot with visualizing stitches as well as nexstitch.

I just noticed the pattern calls for an H hook. When they call for an I hook I usually go with J. If you guys are coming out small I'll probably have to stick with a J for this one also.

When the light turns green, you go.
When the light turns red, you stop.
But what do you do when the light turns blue with orange and lavender spots?

Very nice! Good theme choice for Independence Day and Canada Day.
