1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Modge Podging food? on: July 10, 2008 10:28:20 AM
a friend and I want to make a mobile of waffles with wings for our boyfriends band to hang up at their show (one of their songs is called waffles with wings).  We tried scuplty clay and other types of clay and although they turned out awesome and adorable.  They were too heavy for a mobile.  We need them to be life-size, not a giant Belgian waffle but like a round eggo waffle.  So we were wondering, if we modge-podge the waffles, will they last?

2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / could i use a glass dish in soap making? on: December 10, 2007 07:58:06 AM
So, I want to dabble into the art of cold process soap making, however I don't want to go out and spend a bunch of money on supplies and find out I hate making soap.  everywhere I read it says to use a plastic or wooden mold, but all I have is a glass casserole....  would that work?   Huh

in this picture the collar just needs to be ironed down, its not funny looking i promise!

close up of the yoke:

you cant really tell in this picture but the fish are upside down creating me "dead fish"

annnd the ADORABLE fabric i used:

i would have modeled it but my boobs are too big and the yoke smooshes them and it looks awful as soon as i get my friend danielle (or skinny if you will) over i will get her to model it

anyway just a question if you saw this in a store, would you buy it??? and if so how much would you be willing to pay
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / i had two... so i changed one... now with a tutorial on: June 30, 2006 03:08:08 PM
my boyfriend gave me his pinback shirt sense it was too small for him, he knew i had the same one but he said "i know you can find some us for it"  and i did!

its not my greatest creation, but it was fun to make and its good for the unbelievably hot weather we have been having (i live in san antonio tx, getting closer to 100 everyday...)

10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / old shoes turned new and a wide and short thrifted shirt gets summer ready! on: June 28, 2006 09:36:32 PM
i had these shoes:

...but i had them for a year, and i basically wore them everyday they obtained the name "all terrian mary janes" by my friends as joke sense everytime we would go out, whether it was a walk in the park or a climb up a rocky hill i had those babies parked on my feet....   so, naturally they had faded to an ugly dirty grey color and the white piping turned brown.  no matter how much they were washed they were pretty pathetic.  so after sitting in my scrap box forever (i couldnt bare to part yet i had no clue how to fix them) i finally got off my butt and decieded to work on them...

i really like the outcome. (i didnt have black piping so i used some lace i had):

and i found this really wierd shaped shirt at the thrift store but i loved the stripes so i made this:

hope you enjoy!
