1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / 2 New Necklaces! on: November 11, 2006 03:24:35 PM
Hi!

I just love ribbon at the moment!

This is a simple cluster choker, made with beads and ribbon.

This one is a jade centrepiece that I had lying round with jade leaves hanging down from the ribbon.

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / What have I got!? on: April 11, 2006 03:39:29 AM
Well I was on freecycle and saw that someone was giving away crafty items, so I quickly asked if I could have them, not really knowing what it was.  I went to get it and in amongst the goodies was 2 big bags of what the lady called toy stuffing.  When I got it home and looked, it looks to me like roving?...is that what its called, the stuff you use for spinning...

anyway, I would really like to try to spin my own wool and so, the question is, could I send some to somebody who will know if it is roving to verify it for me....if it is I would send the person some to say thanks!....any takers Smiley

thanks peeps!

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Whats this weird tool for? on: January 04, 2006 05:27:18 AM
Hi All,

I bought a set of knitting needles yesterday in a charity shop (1.50.. Shocked).  Inside, along with all the needles is this weird little needle with a stretchy spring attatched at both ends, could anybody tell me what this is?

Thanks,
Sara xxx
5  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / I am so lucky!.....but what can I do with them? :) on: December 12, 2005 05:29:58 AM
My boyfriends mum was cleaning out the loft, she found 5 trays of precious gems and stones (over 100 in all) from a set which her ex husband had collected.  "here ya go" she said "you can do something arty with them"....I think that the whole street heard my squeal of delight! : )
So apart from jewellery, what else can I do with these wonderous gems? Any help would  be greatly appreciated!

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / I am so proud of myself! on: December 07, 2005 05:51:22 AM
OK, I hadn't knitted since I was a kid, but inspired by you lot, I thought that I would give it another go.   I am not past the basic knitting stitch yet (or scarves), but think that I could possibly move on now! Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Anyway here is what I have made!

I would welcome advice and handy tips. (I keep finding myself pushing the tip of the needle through with my index finger and its pretty sore!!)

Smiley Thanks for looking.
