I made a plush creature recently who has resin parts incorporated into his design. The link has notes on his creation in the picture captions. I think they might be pretty helpful getting some people started in designing their own creatures. I skipped around a bit on steps, but if you have questions I'm more than happy to get into those. Just finished the first mini painting of the new year. It's acrylic on a mini canvas. A friend was lamenting that the smaller one I painted early last year wasn't available so I made this as a late birthday present. I think it translated okay into the larger image quite well. I wasn't sure the design would be appropriate larger.

this is brilliant and so much fun! i can't wait to make one!
and my friend just had a baby - and i think mom and baby need matching hats! it will go perfectly with his "Cthulhu Loves You" bib!

A pack of squids bobbing around xmastime would be 100% awesome.

I am seriously tempted to make a bunch of different types of squids and give them out for christmas. I've got a ton of purple plaid fabric crying out to be squidy. I love the pattern and the whole hat is just too cute.
