3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Paper Beads: How to make? on: January 01, 2007 12:59:52 PM
anyone making those paper beads out of recycled magazine or catalog pages? they look fun to make!

i am looking for some general directions.  specifically, are people finding best results rolling around a straw and then leaving the straw inside (just cutting between the beads when dry)? are tiny drink straws used? also, what type of "shellac" is used to seal it?

thanks in advance for any info...

Hi, lovely hats!   I love your colors.

I'm working on the We Call Them Pirates hat right now...  What yarn/needle size did you use? Also, my other question- what is the best way to block a hat like this (on something round or just flat) ?

Oh sure, lots of international people on Etsy! Both selling and buying.  I've sent stuff to Finland, England, Norway, Spain, etc.

If you browse thru Etsy, you'll see that many sellers will send internationally. Etsy has a bit of a glitch with international sending... they make sellers select a price for anywhere that is international (including Canada for us in USA). So we have to come up with a fee for anywhere - and there are different fees for different parts of the world, once ya get to the post office. So... what I'm trying to get at (and not being very clear, my apologies) is that if you find something you like, you can contact the seller and ask what price would be for shipping to where you live.

Might not make it in time for her birthday Undecided
