2  Re: fill a coin purse round 4 in The Swap Gallery by edamame on: April 16, 2006 09:33:59 AM

Then I made some tiny notecards with pressed flowers

tristitia-
thank you soooo much for the beautiful package you sent - it was waiting for me last night when I got home from vacation Smiley The purse is amazing. I'm impressed with your knitting abilities and creativity. Also love the bunny (happy easter!), the magnets (my son loves moving them around the fridge), mini sharpies, notecards (ack! These are so cool!)...     Yay!

3  Re: Super-Fun 3-Month Swap Gallery Month 1 in The Swap Gallery by edamame on: October 24, 2005 03:53:42 PM
Thank you Megaknits! I received a lovely package of: painted picture frame, stamped candles, beaded wine charms, and a handstamped card!

Matches my kitchen (black and white). And I love the teal/turquoise color!

I also wanted to say thank you for organizing this super fun swap! You are awesome.

My webcamera has crashed into oblivion. I'm buying anew one though, so I can take pictures of month 1 and month 2.

Here are pictures of the neat stuff hobaker sent me for month 1:

Altho I don't think it was the intent, the little round bag makes a perfect beer cozy...  Grin  THANK YOU.

OK here's the stuff I sent Punky's_mom. Glad you got a laugh over the grilled cheese. Isn't that a great story?! The pillow and the pouch have phototransfers just run through my printer. The heart soap was what remained after the earlier soap disaster. I tried to embed those hearts in a square mold, with cloves stuck in 'em... supposed to be Sagrado Corazon, but <sigh> the cloves stained and bled and it was a giant mess. So there you have it.

6  Simplicity 4966, EASY bias skirt in Sewing Pattern Reviews by edamame on: August 06, 2005 09:35:28 AM
Simplicity 4966 is a really easy skirt--- its cut on the bias so that makes it fit naturally, and so there are no darts! The only thing to be careful about is the zipper on the side.  I sewed the seams on the outside and serged them in pink/orange/lime, then topstitched them down.  I also added a sheer poly ribbon to the bottom.

I would just recommend that you use a fabric that's not too stiff-- I used a lightweight black denim, it kinda sticks out a little at the bottom (more obvious in the profile).

7  Re: Felt Dice (How To + Photos) in Completed Projects by edamame on: July 30, 2005 09:09:07 PM
Thanks for the tutorial!  I made some purple dice for my mom's birthday (she has a purple car). I got too lazy to cut out felt dots, so I glued on white buttons instead.

Here are just a couple of the things we got from Elmonerd.  These stuffed dinos are so cute! My pictures don't do them justice. They seem to have taken up residence in the living room. My son particularly likes the red one...

The most amazing thing is that Elmonerd made them with a GLUE GUN!!! Each one is about 12" long.

Will post pics of the t-shirts when they are clean again... wore both of 'em this past week  Smiley Thanks again, Elmonerd!! I'll happily be your partner any time!

10  Re: Yarns Ive been spinning- what have you guys been spinning? (update) in Spinning: Completed Projects by edamame on: July 13, 2005 06:24:16 PM
So many beautiful yarns! I am inspired. Hello.Mango, I love how you choose colors!
Here is my first (and only) skein of yarn. I knit it up into a hat for a swap Smiley  I dyed the roving Blue,Orange, and Purple and plyed it with a blue single. I'm gearing up to dye more when I have a little time...
