I made this out of a foxtrot comic strip about summer reading. I'm going to sell it soon.

I needed something to wear to school cuz I didn't like any of the stuff in my closet so i thought that wsith all the buttondown shirtdresses everyone has been making, i could make one out of a polo. Took less than ten minutes. It is sort of an electric blue color, but the picture isn't that good



Tutorial:
1)Turn polo inside out and make sure all the sleeve seams and hems are matched up.



2)Lay a well fitting Tshirt on the polo so the collars match up and pin around it. The black lines are for short sleeves (what I did) and the red lines are for optional mid sleeves.

Please make sure you make the armpits curved instead of a sharp corner.

The skirt has 2 layers- the green is from joanns and it i so preeetty and flouncy and liight and the white is part of a sheet.

So here's the tutorial:




!. Fold the sqaure or rectangle of fabric into quarters, then cut. the inside circle is your waist measurement divided by 4. (measured straight across, not calong the lines of actual cutting.)



2. So unfold it into a pretty donut shape and lay it ontop of the other fabric ( the blue lines). right sides together.

3. Cut out the blue fabric about 4-5 inches bigger thatn the red on the outside and the same size on the inside.

4. Pin around the inside circle (the black lines) and sew about 1/4 inch away from edge.



5. Turn inside  out so the red is on top.

6. Sew (dotted line) about 3/4 inch (or however wide the drawstring is) from top border.

7. Cut a hole in the middle and thread the drawstring through.

So our chorus sang at a football game and got free food including a thing of Starburst that was like a foot long. So at 2 AM, buzzed from all the sugar, I was sitting on my bed thinking of how to make something out of all the pretty colorful wrappers. The result:

I bought this fabric at Joanns cuz the color was so yummy it reminded me of daquiri Ice and I wanted to make a corduroy jacket (it was on sale)



So here it is!



I'm really happy with the fit, I just measured around an old blazer I had that fit well. Oh--please excuse the pajama pants, I'm home sick from school today.

The buttons I got from an antique store, 5 for a dollar. They look like M&Ms!
(hehe I think all my stuff looks like food    )

Hey everyone!
For all the knitters and crocheters and weavers out there in NC, there is a good yarn store off of Interstate 40. It is called "Hollybee Yarns" and they have a variety of synth, cotton, wool, rayon and silk, all for fairly cheap. Also a wall of big cones all for 10$.

Hi everyone!
I'm pretty new to beading, and my aunt just sent me a big box of all her beading stuff that she doesn't use anymore. Most of it is really old and sooo much of it is seed beads. (there must be like thousands) Can anyone suggest easy projects for them?
