1  Light-up Dove Ornament in Winter Holidays by technoplay on: December 03, 2008 05:05:53 PM

I just finished writing a tutorial for this LED Dove ornament. The ornament is made from industrial felt (but you can substitute the felt with any other thick material), an LED light, conductive thread and a small battery. If you aren't familiar with simple circuits, no worries! It's all explained (and it's quite simple). Only sewingno soldering!

I tried to post the tutorial here but my photos aren't showing up for some reason. I think it's bc I'm a newbie.
Undecided I did manage to upload some pictures to my members gallery so you can take a look there as well.

You can read the tutorial here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/we-love-technology/sets/72157602941719356/ or http://www.fashioningtech.com/forum/topics/led-dove-tutorial.

2  Wearable Light Photos in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by technoplay on: November 01, 2005 01:47:25 PM
Hello All,

Sorry for the delay in getting these photos up. My thesis advisor and I came to the conclusion that the hoodie was a little to complex for individuals to make without prior experience so I had to create another project.

Check it out and let me know what you think!

This project uses conductive velcro...so when you velcro the bracelet on, the lights turn on and when it is not use the lights are automatically off.

So for those of you wishing to participate in my research, I will contact you again. Other's who are interested please e-mail me at syuzique@gmail.com.

Send any feedback or questions my way.

Please check out the previous thread if you are confused as to what I'm up too...It explains it all.

Thanks!
