this is a microfleece hoodie with a couple of stars randomly appliqued on the front, which is inconsequential, since everyone who sees it gravitates to the hood.
i am beginning to think thatr none of us should be allowed near sewing machines at all... not even in the same room with one.. tho i guess then we'd have nothing to talk about. here's a tale from a different menace: i was using my upholstery shears on a project about three months ago when the phone rang, so i was running across the room to get it and the shears slipped out of my and point down onto my poor big toe. the nail split halfway up my toe. i am still trying to grow it out. no pain, but i am supre paranoid that i'm going to get it stuck on my sock or somesuch.
i don't know if this will make sense or not, but how i would try it would be to cut my foundation layer first, then do the ruching on the black bit on top of it so i could see exactly where the gathers would go. baste the uncut lace to the nude bit, then cut around it with the ruching already in place. it might be the easiest way.
