1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / First successful t shirt recon - rock n' roll and oh so leopardy ! on: August 20, 2006 06:17:04 AM
I know it's not on my Procrastination Station list, but I had this project kicking around for a while.

I started off with a huge Ace Cafe t shirt that I'd never worn and a kid's shirt made of stretchy leopard print-ness. Now, the leopard thing had a design on the front, so that meant I couldn't use about a quarter of the fabric - grr !

But, by being very resourceful, I skinnied down the big shirt and added leopard side panels and top band (There was JUST enough fabric - phew .)

Enjoy !

I've not hemmed the bottom yet, and as you can see, I've not cut off the loose threads. Oops.

Other side view (It's a boob tube BTW, the straps are because I was wearing a vest under it Tongue)

Thanks for viewing  Cheesy xx
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Adeline Kamikaze skirt on: August 19, 2006 02:49:21 AM
I was flicking through one of those really stupid Attitude catalogues that we keep having thrust upon us, and for once I actually found something nice !

Nice but expensive - Damn Adeline Record clothing -__-

This is what it looks like (This is the olive version 'cause it's easier to see the detailing):

I don't know how to do the epaulette-style things on the front though  Huh ... any ideas appreciated !!!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Not sure whether this goes HERE or in the sewing patterns bit, but .... on: May 23, 2006 09:29:43 AM
For my History project, I'm trying to make a forties wartime-style dress.... but cannae find a pattern ! They're all either in dollars or they cost about sixteen million quid.

Do you know of anywhere I can buy a forties dress pattern in a reasonable number of POUNDS ?
4  U.K. AND IRELAND / ENGLAND / Cheap jeans ? on: March 13, 2006 11:33:40 AM
Help ! I'm 13 and not very curvy, so buying jeans is bad enough for me. But I'm growing outwards REALLY fast, so I outgrow them within several months !

Anyone know where I can buy cheap, but still quite nice, jeans ? THe best I found is Marks and Spencer, 9.99 a pair.... but I still have to sew the hips up cause of my shape, lol.
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Edward Scissorhands jeans w/Sharpie ?? on: December 31, 2005 09:43:54 AM
I was thinking that you could take some plain jeans and a sharpie pen and do Edward Scissorhands jeans... I'm thinking pics and quotes here.

Good idea or not really ?
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Any ideas? on: December 28, 2005 07:42:32 AM
I'm trying to think of something inventive to do to my room . I'm a little agoraphobic - scared of big open spaces - and my room is huge, which does not help at all. I am jealous of the lucky one who has a small room.

Any ideas of what I can do ? BTW I can't paint the walls or I will be shot at dawn by parents
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My prettyful rock n roll dress ! on: November 21, 2005 02:13:47 AM
My dress .... started out life as a top and 2 pieces of gingham fabric. But NOW, is a super sexy, rock n roll dress !
Here's me wearing it (sorry about my red legs) :

This is the first dress I've ever made, took about 1 hour I think.... I'm so happy ^_^
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Cool t shirt design on: November 21, 2005 02:04:38 AM
I've got this black t shirt, plain fitted longsleeve, and I HAVE to put a design on it (this is because I printed an image onto the front of it and it screwed up badly...lol).

Anyone got any ideas for anything I could do ? I'll have to do the design onto a fabric patch and then use some kind of decorative stitch to attach it to the top. ^_^
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Can anyone help me with fingerless gloves? on: October 23, 2005 12:03:11 PM
Knowig me there's already a thread about this, but still -- Do any of you learned patrons of the art of knitting know how to knit fingerless gloves? I'd like to but I don't know the pattern for them or anything.
