Hasn't someone received yet?  I'm dying of curiosity here Grin

I think it was Equal Rites.  But it might have been The Light Fantastic.  It was awhile ago.

Now I feel really silly. For some reason I marked the send out as the 15th of October... Oh well, I sent really early then.

Well, that's just a good reason to get me to start the Fall Handspun Swap Gallery thread Grin

My large item is over halfway done, as is my medium one.  I've had a crazy idea for a, uh, "small" item to go with the medium one that I need to go shopping for, mwahaha.  I'm hoping I can get it all done and mailed off before Halloween for, uh, 'ethnic' purposes.

Now all I need to do is catch an imp Grin

Conley, I think you are right.  Carpe Jugulam always screams autumn to me, because of the mist, and chilly feeling of the book.  I think bookstorebabe makes an excellent point - you do not necessarily have to follow a specific book, just take a character or place and autumn-ise it.  Or make something autumn related and then tie it to the character - like a transfer of a character on a long sleeved t-shirt/hoody, or a sewn scarf with an appliqud picture on it.

How about making something that will help my partner survive autumn/ winter that is Discworld themed? Grin

How's everyone doing?  Less than a month to the deadline, which still means there's plenty of time Wink

One of the girls in Ravelry went out to a Terry Pratchett book signing in West Chester, PA the other day and learnt that not only Terry Pratchett spins, he has also made his own spindle and has once knit himself a pair of socks from handspun yarn (that was a couple of decades ago, and they're still going strong). He also said that the man who tends the sheep on his lands gives him a fleece every year. Can you believe that ?  Grin

I was totally kicking myself when I heard that, because when I got him to pose with my traveling socks he asked me if I wanted him to look like he was knitting on them!  And I said no Cry  Ohwell, it explained why he was examining them so closely!
19  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Spocks (button-up socks) for my SIL on: October 03, 2007 06:27:21 PM
These socks are more than enough to jump start me into the winter sock making season....as soon as I finish me sweater. Is there any way to get the pattern?

It will be available as a published pattern through ShiBuiKnits, hopefully by January 1, 2008.  I'm in the midst of writing the knee-high version for them, which is what's holding everything up.  But it will get done, if I have to throttle the yarn to do it Wink

I just noticed this swap now.

Since you posted the partners, does it mean that I'm too late?

I also just realised that too much DayQuil makes me post partners a day early.  If you want to send me your info, we might get another participant by the end of today or one of our illustrious spinners might want to take on a second partner (any volunteers?).  Sooo, yes, if you want to participate, please send me your questionnaire Smiley
