1  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / B food suggestions on: July 25, 2008 08:17:31 AM
Hi, I'm having a food club gathering with the theme of foods that start with B. I'm having a hard time finding a recipe I want to make.

Do you have a recipe that is awesome and starts with B? I'm kind of looking for an appetizerish dish so it's easy to put on a plate and eat while chatting.

So far people are making Bulgoki (sp?), brownies, bangers and mash and something with bacon.

Thanks
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Stuffed felt robot on: January 20, 2008 03:27:30 PM
I finished this guy tonight. He's been a WIP for quite awhile. His legs came out a little shorter than I like, but once he's sitting he looks okay. He's made with felt and embroidery thread. His head, arms and legs are attached with snaps so that they can be rearranged. He flops a bit, but isn't really made to be functional, just cute.

Is anyone in the GR area a scrapbooker? I was thinking of having a get together.
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Embroidered squid on: December 17, 2007 12:56:20 PM
I posted this in the bag/purse thread, but because it's a bag made solely as a place to put this squid, I thought it was more about the embroidery and less about the bag. So, I'm posting it here too.

I embroidered this squid from a picture at http://science.howstuffworks.com/squid1.htm

It needed something more than a tea towel for it's final home.

Thanks for looking
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Squid bag on: December 15, 2007 02:34:56 PM
I embroidered a beautiful squid and had no idea what to do with it. So, it became this bag. I've only made one bag before, so the skill isn't there, but I like the way it turned out. It was a little wide, so I pinched in the sides with embroidery floss.

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Passport Wallet - Summer '07 Adorn magazine on: October 24, 2007 12:26:33 PM
Does anyone have a copy of the tutorial for the passport wallet featured in Adorn Magazine Summer '07? I had a copy of it, along with the templates all set to make one for my mom. Now I can't find it. I got a copy of the templates online but still need the tutorial. Thanks

8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Centerpieces for a fall wedding on: October 14, 2007 07:36:39 PM
Here are pictures of the centerpieces I made for my sister's wedding. Granted, it was awhile ago.. but I just found the photos. They are glasses filled with birdseed and containing pussywillow branches, pheasant feathers and horsetails.

10  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / New to embroidery on: November 02, 2005 10:32:42 AM
Hi guys. I just found (and fell in love with) the embroidery patterns on Sublime Stitching. I purchased four... Monkey love, i love veggies, sushi bar and atom-ique. Truthfully, will I be totally lost without any embroidery skills to fall back on? I'm thinking of making some gifts for Xmas.
