1  Re: Mushroom swap Round 2~gallery of FUN-gus! in The Swap Gallery by happyd on: March 18, 2007 08:00:51 PM
finally!!  pics from my package of goodies from samsara (ginny)

thanks for your patience ginny Smiley  i hope you like the way i shot the photos Wink

so many great things!!!  now you can probably see why i felt guilty for not mailing more things Smiley i mean, in the mushroom box (seen in the first photo), she also included pencils w/ mushroom decoupaged on - she said in her letter that graphic designers probably could always use pencils (which is true for drawing types like me). isn't she so thoughtful?

she put so much work and sent me so much mushroomy goodness!!

hey rabbithorns,

that's so awesome that you are so green!! i try to reuse as much as possible and try to reduce my garbage by using a travel mug for drinks that i take out, not using plastic bags and getting rid of my car!

sadly only a few stores charge for plastic bags here in canada~

i also try to 'rescue' paper that would have been put in the recycling bin (or to my horror the garbage! some of my coworkers are terrible at recycling!!) but i'm going to have to think more about how i can 'reuse', rather than purchase recycled.

OH! and did you know that even though paper may say that it is recycled, you should really look out for the 'post consumer waste' percentage? if it not indicated that the paper is not 'post consumer waste' that means that the paper company is just 'recycling' so to say, scraps that were waste when they were creating paper from virgin fibres.  tricky!!

here's a pic of magnets that i created about of rescued paper. the paper was used to wrap up some posters that my company ordered:
