1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: The Official Fragrance Oil & Essential Oil Thread! on: August 19, 2011 09:00:25 AM
Okay so... I have a question. I am new to soap making, I have been gathering the stuff to do it for about 2 weeks and am going to start this weekend actually.  Shocked I am getting requests from my family to make scents and other wonderful goodies. I was looking at some of the suppliers that are listed on the getting started page on here and found Appalachian Valley Natural Product's essential oils. Does anyone know about their quality versus the price or could give me any info? I was going to buy some peppermint from a local Co-Op store (this is like a wholefoods but on a much much smaller scale)  but I may have been convinced otherwise from some of you on here about their price being a bit high versus the quality of their product. I have yet to even make a batch of soap but am planning on all the scent combinations that I can see which is terribly bad for both me and my wallet but oh well you only live once right? Grin Sorry about the long post, I tend to ramble a little.  Lips sealed

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: I knit germs!!! & swat team kitties Pics are huge..sorry on: April 02, 2007 06:31:14 AM
Hey,
Thanks for all the comments. Well I am a biochem major and saw the Gant Microbes (google giant microbes if you want to see) and thought it would be so much cuter if they were knit. I brought them to class with me one day and said I had HIV everyone looked at me like I was crazy  Lips sealed. I planned on making all them if I could but it takes a while.

I don't know if it would be good to make all kids think that germs/diseases were these cute cudly little things.  Smiley

Yes I did kinda make up the pattern but I'll have to make more to see if I can explain it all correctly. (It really is kinda confusing  Huh)

i'd rather be infected with kitty too....

Thanks and I'll try to post a pattern later maybe when break finally gets here,
Sara Grin

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Santa Cruz Hat on: March 04, 2007 04:25:56 PM
I like you hat. I love the blues of your hat.  Smiley

I made one in SWS and followed the directions and it ended up looking like a toddler's hat so I tore it out and started again and did 2.5 repeats so it would cover my ears.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Good sock Pattern for a newbbie sock knitter on: January 07, 2007 06:29:13 PM
Thanks for the links. I ordered it and haven't seen it so I don't know the gauge but will look when I get it. I can't wait to start and post the finished pictures even though I don't know what pattern I will use and don't even have my yarn yet. Grin
Thanks Everyone,
Sara Tongue
