1  UNITED STATES / Washington / call for artists TUMBLEWEED music festival on: May 23, 2012 01:14:20 PM
We invite you to participate in the 2012 Tumbleweed Music Festival. This year's event will be held on Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend, September 1st and 2nd, at Howard Amon Park, in Richland, Washington. The festival is free and open to the public both days. The Three Rivers Folklife Society has sponsored the festival each year since 1997 and the City of Richland co-sponsors the event. We feature live acoustic music from four outdoor stages, an indoor dance stage, arts and crafts vendors and of course, festival food. We estimate about 5,000 people attended last year's festival and we expect that number to increase this year. This is the fifteenth year for Tumbleweed Music Festival and it has gained a reputation as one of the best small music festivals in the Northwest.

Please See out website http://www.tumbleweedfest.com/ for an Application and Prospectus.
Original Artwork only, no ReSellers or Commercially Manufactured items will be considered.
2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / sock monkey on: November 01, 2009 12:32:05 PM
My poor husband is afraid of the traditional sock monkeys, he's creeped out by the vacant eyes and oversize red mouth. So, in the spirit of Halloween I decided to make a sock monkey costume to star in his nightmares for some time to come.

I used a brown sweatsuit, 1 off white sweatshirt, 1 brown henley shirt,  some scrap foam pieces, and vintage yarn. I spent about $15.00 total and made it in about 5 hours.

Hope you like it!!!!!
