3681  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Dollar store supplies crafted swap? on: January 03, 2009 07:47:03 AM
Just so everyone knows, I PM'd craftydeb to see if she'd like
to organize again, but she is on swap hiatus for awhile, and
will not be able to organize.  So.....
whoever is interested & able can take the reins this time!

Well, then we would need another organizer Roll Eyes

Anyone up to it? Grin

I've PM'd Dolly (who organized the prev. round) to see if
she'd like to do it, but have not heard back...

This one would prob. be easier for me to participate in,
since looks like the mystery swap will require a wist, which
I don't have (and don't really want to take time to set up)~
if this one just has partners list 5 or more themes, I'll be
set!
(Kinda thinking it might be fun to list more than 5 & have the
partner choose 5 of them, so there is still an element of surprise, ya know?)

woohoo - count me in! Can you remind me - is it sender's choice on the colors? Smiley

in past rounds I've used the info provided by my partner during signups to choose a color....
also, each pair of partners decided whether to send 1 or 2 cloths in past rounds....not sure if Myklia will change that up or not....

Yeah, I actually think a lot of swaps are starting up in January now that Christmas crafting is done with! Maybe I could start signups around Feb 1?

sounds great!
This is a good swap for using up stash as well as stretching
your creative muscles to meet your partner's wishes!
3689  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Spell my name swap? on: December 29, 2008 11:01:02 AM
I think that this might be interesting.  However, I like the idea of a 5 point minimum.  I personally don't like swaps that are too large, as often I'm in several at a time.  Being that the holidays are finished, lots of swaps will start this month that I might participate in.  I have a 4 letter name, so that if I joined, my partner could make a 2 point item for 1 letter of my name, and then smalls for the other letters.  Of course if someone wishes to make larger items, that would be up to them.  How does this sound?

That was my line of thinking for those with shorter names - - either a 2 point item,
or they could repeat a letter using another item, if that makes sense?
Now to come up with the best timetable....
