CAN!!!  *throws crushed drink can into ceiling fan and watches everyone duck*
Oh wait. Nevermind.

This is what I love about this community!  The silliness  Smiley
y'all convinced me to go ahead & open the can, and.....
it is the cutest lil polyclay (?) bunny and yes,
he is EATING stew!  teeheee

I was afraid something was gonna pop out of the can like
the old gag of opening a peanut can & a snake pops out?
Anyway, this was MUCH better!
Thanks again for a super pkg, Becca!
(oh, and I had a good chuckle too when I realized we both sent
the same type of notebooks!)

Good luck, itchy
& try not to worry yet.....I had a filling put in yesterday,
and they told me it would be numb for an hour or 2, and it took
like 4 hours for the numbness to wear off!
Hopefully yours will wear off soon.....

and on a happy note - -
Will post pics here in a few minutes....my partner is just fab!!!!

She sent a really detailed letter explaining all of the items - - I feel like I got to know her much better just from reading it!

I have to show you the wonderfully wrapped BOX, as this is something I am just not good at, and am amazed at the creativity involved in making the pkg look good!  Thanks, Becca!

Now, on to the goodies!
First, for Vintage, a wonderful apron that she made herself!  Such nice stitching....I'm impressed!  (sorry for the pitiful bathroom shot)

Next, for Sweet, she made shortbread bites (my favorite cookie!)
and for Seasons, she made a little felt Christmas tree for my collection!  (so darling!)

For the Child in You, she made Canned Rabbit Stew, which I'm almost scared to open, LOL.
And for Origami, she made a neat box w/heart & filled it with neat heart bookmarks!  Love these!

For Photograph, she did the neatest thing!
She covered a composition book with photos of tons of authors, and included a list of them for me to find!  Kind of like I Spy for an adult  Smiley
Isn't it cool?

Then we have Soft, which means yarn (and it is really soft!)
her little 2 yo dd included an adorable tiny card (she wanted to help her mommy!)

Here's the picture of the cute Hair Accessoriesand bunches of extras she sent!

I am really blown away by this pkg, Becca!
Thanks a million!
What a great partner   Grin

E is for Exploding Album.....so very cute!  I've never seen this before!

(excuse my poor scanning abilities....the titles are Tripwire & Fear of The Dark....
look suspenseful!)

a darling birdie sachet, a nice journal (will go great with the journaling prompts
I got in another swap) and a pretty card (did you sew that trim by hand or with a machine?  either way is amazing to me!)
Thanks a ton, Oh That!

great, by the way!) and sent a bag of jibbets for my crocs!
All in all, a very nice pkg & all made from stash!
Thanks bunches, partner!

119  green cabled scarf ~ in Knitting: Completed Projects by kayrun on: March 22, 2009 02:42:50 PM
So my younger dd finally asked me to knit her a scarf - -
her only requirements were that it not be an "ugly" green
and that it have those twisty things on it  Smiley
(made with Encore Chunky yarn & a cabled pattern from smariek's site:
oops I think it's actually the Miranda pattern~

You were a super partner for this swap, and I'm so glad you
liked your pkg.  Enjoy the Malabrigo yarn - - I have some I've not tried
out yet, but everyone on Ravelry just RAVES about it!
Leaving space here for my photos in a bit:

ok, so I finally got pics & scanning done:
the big stuff:
purple = some wonderful Ultra Silk yarn that I cannot wait to try out!
local = a Koigu scarf pattern book from her LYS
recycled = Simply Soft Eco yarn - - so soft...anxious to try this as well!
dotted = a great needle roll that will come in handy for my needle collection

and the small stuff:
M = stitch markers....lovely!
hard = marble magnets (these are so strong & there are 4 of them)
sender's choice = neat crocheted bangle & polyclay charms
funny = a card (I think it could work as a coaster?) that made me LOL
