1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: japanese candy purse on: November 06, 2005 09:18:11 PM
If you go to Yahoo yellow pages you can type in your city/state and "asian grocery" or something, and it should help you find one in your area.

If you happen to go down to Florida anytime soon, at Epcot they have a big store in the Japan section and they've got tons of that stuff. I know, not very helpful.

If not, they have lots of Asian candy at all of the Asian grocery stores that I've been too (and I don't live in a big city or anything). I don't know that they're specifically Japanese, but at least some of it has to be. Or you could try ordering it online somewhere.
3  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Frosted glass tutorial -- How to make your own frosted glassware! on: November 05, 2005 03:07:23 PM
Okay, this question might seem really dumb, but at this site http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/spearmintgumgrl123/detail?.dir=/74f4&.dnm=afe0.jpg&.src=ph

So, for these stencils, is it the black part that will actually be showing up on the glass once you've put on the cream and removed the stencils, or is it the black part that is peeled off and then stuck on the glass so that the rest of the glass has the cream on it, and the black part will be clear glass when removed? Sorry for the convoluted question, I'm having a hard time explaining it. Thanks!
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Great Gift for $4.50 each! Make your own reed diffusers!!! on: November 02, 2005 06:15:21 PM
This question may make me sound like a complete doofus, but to make one of these, do you just put some oil in a bottle and then stick the reeds in there?
5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Re: TONS OF STENCILING TUTORIALS from an experienced stenciler. on: October 21, 2005 08:17:47 PM
One more question: I've read in a couple of places that you should iron it afterwards to set the paint, but this was always in reference to acrylic paint. If I use puffy paint, should I still do this? And if so, how long should I wait before I iron it? Until it dries?
6  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: I've figured out the best way to stencil EVER. A must read. (tutorial and pics) on: October 21, 2005 08:11:39 PM
Should you wait until the paint is COMPLETELY dry before ironing it? Or is it better to do it when it's just the littlest bit damp?

For the freezer paper, it says to print the stencil onto the paper. Does this actually mean print, as in stick it through the printer, or do I have to handraw it (woe is me if that's the answer)?

I've never actually seen this freezer paper stuff, but I'm hoping it'll be there when I go to the grocery store, so sorry if the answer is actually really obvious once you get your hands on the stuff.

How DID you make the stencil?
