maybe i'm searching for the wrong thing, cuz i can only find info on sealing or on copper. but what i want to know is...what type of metal ring bases will NOT turn your finger green?

I want to buy some bases and have found several sellers on etsy. Some say "silver wash", some say Silver "tone", nickel-free "silvery white", silver "plated"....etc, etc

and all i have now is a migraine, but no clue!   so can someone please tell me which one do i spend my money on if i don't want green fingers....or tell me what an idiot i am for missing the obvious threads that include this topic!

i'm also hoping one of these etsy sellers (cuz i'd rather give my money to them than big biz) have something that will save my phlanges and not require special coating

how odd that I came across this topic, cuz I was just thinking about this today.  I've run into several times in the past where I thought up something I thought was very clever and funny and decided to Google it to see if anyone else had thought of it. Sure enough, each time...someone has already come up with it. Whether its a joke, or a nickname or a clever play on words.  So of course, I feel I can't have an original idea!

then yesterday i started making a new craft that I thought was completely original since I'd never seen it before. I decided to google it just to be sure...and of course, found it already exists out in the world. it'd be one thing if i were making this as a gift or for myself. but it was something I wanted to market at local craft fairs. now I feel like if I do, someone might think i'm a copycat, even though i didn't know about it when i originally thought about it

i see lots of things that are very similar being sold by several people..for example, the mini clay cupcakes/lollipops. LOTS of people make and sell those. So how do they get away with not being considered copycats?  and can I continue to sell what i consider my own even though i know it already exists out there somewhere else?

I don't know why I just found this now, but I love it! My friend just had a baby, so I'm going to make one for the kids' room. How are you mounting the thinner letters to the wall?

just wanted to update....I found out Pier 1 Imports now makes something very similar! LOL! It's a wood frame with 9 sections and a wire with one wooden clip in each section. I think it's only $30 bucks. I still like mine much better....but it's interesting how they have them now.

Y'all should patent/sell your ideas before Pier 1 snags them all!  LOL! J/k

random gifts are the best!

we're not doing anything special. just the same as last year and all the years before. there's a local newspaper that throws a kind of anti-vday bash every year. they invite people to bring tokens of past relationships, come on stage, talk about it and destroy it! 

its always a lot of fun. And better than dinner/dancing!:)
