11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Bookmark Swap - Round 4 Gallery on: March 01, 2011 01:46:57 PM
I forgot to take a photo of it, but it should be noted that the schrute buck is double sided and laminated and the back is equally as awesome as the front (it has beets and says in dwight we trust!)

Sorry I can't get it the photo to flip around, but the schrute buck is from RosyPosie which as I told her could not have come at a better time because I was having the worst possible day when I got home and found it in the mail.  I also brought it into my office and showed it off (since they're all guys and tease me about my crafting) they were all insanely jelous and apparently crafting isn't as dorky as some of them previously decided.....

the geisha which I also love since I mentioned my favorite book is memoirs of a geisha was from tree27

the one with the blue wrap around is from mouseatethekitty

and the blue and green braided one (it's very neat, but I'm a little worried to leave is out on the table lest the cats decide it was a present for them) was from honeybeee.

I love them all thank you so much guys and trust me my book collection loves you all since it will be spared some page dog earing for a while!

I would love to get in on this as long as it's during the summer as I'm super overwhelmed with work right now.

I would sooo be in for this!  I love the office (i'm the resident office freak at my job, whenever they need to know what episode an obscure reference is from I've always got the answer) I just started swapping in 2011 (I've been a lurker/limited poster since 2005) and I'm getting addicted.

I really want in on this one, just need to get home so I can do some wist maintance (darn website blockers at work) tonight before I send in my questionaire.  I've been on a swap binge lately and I just sent out my bookmark swap stuff today so it's time for something new!

Super excited about this swap, sent in my questionaire this morning!  now I can stop dog earing the corners of my books, I grew up in my dad's bookstore and that is one of my habits that alwasy drove him nuts.  I'm also a recovering English major!  didn't finish, I went from english... to journalism... to working full time and not having enough time for school, but trying to pursue a part time marketing degree.  I used to call my intended English degree my "anything and nothing degree" because you can do anything with it because you have a degree, but nothing specific (except teach)  I just liked to read books so an English degree seemed like a great idea at the time.
19  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: tetris blanket finally done on: January 27, 2011 06:33:05 AM
also should mention the colors are authentic tetris colors, my bedroom is just so dark I needed to use the flash on my camera which left me with a very washed out picture.  The square blocks are actually yellow (they look white) and the "yellow" looking ones are really orange..... <sigh> I just wanted to get the thing posted and be done lol  Embarrassed
20  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / tetris blanket finally done on: January 27, 2011 06:30:43 AM

So I finally finished it... it was a christmas gift for a friend that I started on dec 1st and didn't manage to get in the mail until... Jan 13th.   I'm so glad it's done, I just used a basic granny square pattern each square is about 5x5 making the whole blanket a pretty decent twin size (it's a little thin on the sides so I might add to it at some point).  Those of you who may have talked me off my ledge a couple days before I mailed it thank you.  I had felt it was an epic failure and got disgusted with it for about 24 hours including threatening to run it over repeatedly with my car.

In all actuality I'm just so glad it's done, it was a ton of work, but my friend absolutely loved it as did his mom, who doesn't even really like video games.
c&c welcome, but try and do easy on me I very rarely get to post a completed project on the boards.... usually I don't finish them my closet is full of storage bins with 1/2 done projects.
