1  (mostly) daily creature drawings in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Sweet_Enemy on: December 07, 2005 06:19:11 PM
This project is something my mister suggested for my site.  I've been at it for just under a month, and he's updating it for me every few days or so.  Thus the (mostly) daily.  The drawings are in sets of twelve, changing the medium each time I have a new page.  I'm going to keep it b&w for now, because I'm trying to push my compositions AND contrast.

I just finished the second set, and would love some feedback.

and here's the link:  go to http://www.obscurius.org/sweet_enemy/ and then click on 'creature a day'

Thanks for looking!

2  Re: Ziploc Swap 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Sweet_Enemy on: October 07, 2005 06:13:27 AM
okay, finally I got around to photos:

FABRIC, and then some!  (you weren't kidding!)

2 quilt squares, brag book which I've filled with the collage images, floss organizer (ideal!  I'm just starting to dabble in embroidery) magnets!  I love magnets.

Lots of mini candycanes, plastic beads, bows (I'm thinking a bow-festooned runch skirt), tins, beading wire & etc.

thanks for a great first swap!

3  Happily completed necklace! in Beads: Completed Projects by Sweet_Enemy on: June 05, 2005 07:19:58 PM
Okay, I wasn't able to get across how translucent the beads are, but just imagine that whatever is white is actually almost transparent.  I made the beads by sort of following the "imitation agate" directions in Polymer: The Chameleon Clay by Victoria Hughes.  Mine is the lazy-girl's version.  Lots and lots of sanding later, plus a little bit of clear varnish, and I was able to present my mom with a 50th birthday gift I was rather proud of.

I cannot recommend that book enough!
