Your wee hallowig is the cutest baby hat I've ever seen!  Seriously cute!!!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: No Purple in your stash? No Problem on: January 20, 2008 01:47:09 PM
I like the subtle color variations you got by dying, and your daughter looks pleased.  Nice job!
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Urchin from handspun wool on: January 20, 2008 01:34:58 PM
Very pretty!  My first few skeins of handspun are pretty lumpy and uneven, but they would be perfect for this hat.  Thanks for sharing!

Your blanket is amazing!  What an awesome gift!
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Felting only part of a knit on: August 01, 2007 10:51:10 AM
You could knit the Lion Brand part, felt it, then pick up and knit the remainder.  If you're already into the Silk Garden section you could possibly hand-felt, but needle felting would probably be more accurate.

Just be sure you don't over-felt.  I just ruined 3 oven mitts (didn't watch the felting time close enough) and now they won't even go on my hand.  waaah!  Cry
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: writing thank you notes? on: August 01, 2007 10:44:40 AM
Just wondering if when you finish a project do you ever write to the person who wrote the pattern to thank them?

I never have, but if it's a free pattern, I will definitely do so from now on.  I just never thought of it before.

Ditto.  It never occurred to me before, but I think it's a great idea and will do it from now on.
