1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Art Nouveau Cushion on: August 17, 2007 02:16:19 PM
That is AMAZINGLY gorgeous, it must've taken a lot of work. Personally I see two women, but I'm kind of biased/mostly gay.  Tongue

Modgirl, it depends on the cap! But I would sayyy a good amount for 1/2 cups of powder is 1/2 tsp maybe? Just keep putting a little in until you can smell it, haha.
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / HUGE swap questionnaire? on: January 05, 2007 06:22:46 AM
Hi! I've been searching for an hour, and for the life of me I can't find this really gigantic, like over 100 questions swap questionnaire thing, to fill out so people get a REALLY good idea of what to send you in swaps. A few months ago I found several of them in various craftsters' blogs, but I don't remember whose! It was sooo detailed, does anyone know what I'm talking about?
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: nintendo controller ds lite case w/ mini tutorial on: December 21, 2006 10:05:11 PM
This was such a lifesaver <3 I had nooo idea what to make for my best friend, and then I found this! I know he's gonna adooore it, no use in posting a picture since it looks exactly the same as the original. But this is such a WONDERFUL, awesome idea! I wish I had a DS lite just so I could make myself one. And I of course am giving you credit when my friend opens his gift.
5  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: He who sleeps under the sea... in adorable semi-amigurumi no-pattern form? on: December 20, 2006 12:59:52 AM
PH, I bow before your mighty hook mojo.  The dank one is AWESOME, and I have been told that el hubbito wants one now... Roll Eyes  What did you use for yarn?

Thank you! I just used normal, terrible, Red Heart worsted from Walmart.

Rheatheylia, I think that  I made one, put it on one length of yarn, finished all the others and did the same, so I had them on this string jut to keep track of them... then I actually crocheted them onto the head, and pulled the string out. I think, don't really remember...  Embarrassed

Spraying would probably work too, but I poured. You use a surprisingly little amount. I got rice flour at my grocery store, which is extraordinarily tiny, so I assume they would all have it... In the baking stuff, the kind I got was: http://www.bobsredmill.com/catalog/index.php?action=showdetails&product_ID=417

Thank you!

Alright, honestly I've never even SEEN an H.P. Lovecraft book. But my friend adores them, sooo I made her a kinda-sorta-amigurumi-but-not-really Cthulhu, modeled after the existing plushies, but other then that, I had nooo idea what I was doing and just made it up as I went along. I like how it turned out, but his feet are just bizarre.
9  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! on: December 18, 2006 02:58:31 PM
I absolutely love my hair. I'm contemplating bleaching/dying it an all-over color, but I know once I start I won't be able to stop...

I have pretty much virgin hair. One day I decided I wanted the sides cut really short with a design dyed into them, asked my mom to do it, and three hours later, my hair is awesome.

Here's what it looks like now(I've already redone it once, so this is the second time it's faded)

I can just wear my hair down, and it tooootally disappears. For when I don't want to be glared at by little old ladies.
10  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Perfumed body powder with handpainted box on: December 18, 2006 02:38:02 PM

Christmas gift for a friend! The powder is equal amounts rice flour and corn starch, with some glitter and, you guessed it, Burberry Brit perfume. However strong you want it. It's lovely, I almost want to keep it! Painting the box took foreeeever... So much tape, so many lines, having to mix the tan color... arrrgh.
