1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Baby Yoda hat on: December 11, 2010 12:46:04 AM
Made this for my godson of 3 months.

The hat is the earflap hat from the Happy Hooker book. Because his head is huuuge already, I had to alter the pattern in some places.
I winged the ears, the wonkier the better.

It's really warm due to the tight stitches, now the german winter has nothing on little Toni (his name is Alessio, for some reason I call him Toni).

It looks like he's not quite positive about his new hat, but he'll learn to appreciate it.  Cheesy
2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Spartan amigurumi: Finally finished this little sucker on: October 04, 2009 09:00:54 AM
He's done!

After being stuck with the helmet I put him aside for weeks. Today I wanted to give him an his *?$&% Lips sealed  helmet one last chance and it finally worked out.
Once you got it, everything seems so easy.  Roll Eyes

My first finished Christmas present for this year, yay!

It took me the whole 300 DVD long to crochet the helmet and attach everything he needed.
3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Another Yoda amigurumi on: January 11, 2009 02:47:10 AM
Another Christmas gift, this one was for my sister's fiance.
I winged the ears, the head and body are the basic parts from Creepy Cute Crochet.
Robe is made from felt, just like the eyes.

"You must feel the cuteness around you..."
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Pride pot holders on: January 11, 2009 02:33:27 AM
I taught myself to crochet this autumn and of course I HAD to make at least one of my Christmas presents this year with this new ability. Grin

These were for one of my best friends who came out this year.
He really loved them (it's a set of 2) and now he wants to cook dinner for us to meet his first bf.

The colors are somehow different than in real life here and the size seems not right ,too. The edges are not THAT wonky, I swear! I still need a new camera.
5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Pancho Villa on: September 18, 2007 10:04:59 PM
Just finished this for my best friend's birthday.
He's into good old Pancho and used to be depressed every time he saw a Che Guevara shirt, mumbling something like " That guy's so overrated..."

Now here comes his hero, the stencil is from stencilry.com

Thanks for looking!
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Oh, nice a....... cow? on: April 16, 2007 08:45:25 AM
Today I went to IKEA with my best friend a got a lot of cheap stuff to get crafty with.

One thing I brought home was a plain seethrough clock I got for 99 cent and I decided to make it my new craft room clock.
And since I'm a preschool-teacher I have tons of kids drawings laying around. So I thought: why not bring them together?
I just took out the paper that was in the clock and cut one of my favourite drawings to size, punched a whole in and set that whole thing back together.

The result:

Nothing too spectacular, but I thought I`d share.  Grin
7  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / More Donnie-ness on: December 17, 2006 11:21:22 AM
After Frank turned out so good I was motivated to get the other Christmas gift shirt done as soon as possible.

This time I used white paint on a black shirt, the words are freehanded.

The black of the shirt shines through at some points and some edges are a bit wonky, but I think that represents Donnie's .. let's call it disturbed ... personality in the movie just perfect.

8  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Frank the bunny on: December 15, 2006 05:57:45 AM
I just finished the first stenciled christmas present for this year (yes, I know I'm starting quite late... Tongue).

It's Frank the bunny from Donnie Darko. I'll give it to a good friend of mine who developed an obsession about that movie in the last couple of years.

Full shirt:

Close-up of the stencil:

I thought about adding the numbers 28:06:42:12, what do you guys think?
9  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Audrey...? on: November 28, 2006 01:06:16 PM
So it`s my sisters birthday next week. And right now she`s obsessed with Audrey Hepburn and that whole style. That`s why I decided to make her a purse with an Audrey stencil.
Now my question is: do you guys know any site where I could get a good looking one?
I'm really bad at this making-my-own-stencil-from-any-picture thing, so google didn't work. Tongue

Thanks, pin
