21  California / California: South / Craft Riot: A West Hollywood Craft Fair---Saturday, December 5th 2009 UPDATE on: September 16, 2008 02:06:01 PM
Just an FYI for you...
Hi everyone! West Hollywood is having its 2nd annual "Craft Riot" craft fair on Saturday, December 5th 2009  (11am-5pm)
As part of my job in Weho, I help come up with events for the local community.  My coworker, Veronica and I, are both obsessed with anything crafty or artistic and are amazed by the really unique businesses we've seen on sites like Etsy and the innovation we see here at Craftster. So, we are putting this event together to help showcase the unique talents of these designers and show them off to the West Hollywood community.  Since this isn't a moneymaking venture for the city, we try to keep costs down and are charging a minimal ammount for a booth, $25.  We would like to invite you to join us and show everyone YOUR STUFF!!!

Email me at: Ghernandez@weho.org if you want me to send you info!

UPDATE:11/13/09  Just want to let everyone know that we are no longer taking new submissions for vending space, but we hope you can still join us on December 5th for the fun!

Thanks for listening! And we hope to see you there!

West Hollywood will be having its first inaugural Chalk Art in the Park on Saturday, May 10 from 11-4.  We're inviting all you artists and crafters to join us!  It's going to be an awesome event with music, food, entertainment, and lots of prizes.  We are in need of craft vendors to add to the event and since this is the first one we are only charging a minimal fee for a booth...$25.00!!!  We also need artists who are willing to come out and participate in the Chalk Art part of the event. If you are interested in submitting your craft for review, please contact either Veronica or Guille at: (323) 845-0172 or email us at: Ghernandez@weho.org / Vguzman@weho.org.  Hurry because space is limited!!
25  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Crafts for men?? on: August 07, 2007 12:22:03 PM
I work at a teen center and we have a craft sale during to holidays to raise money to give to charity.  It went very well last year, but we got requests for more "manly" crafts people could give as gifts to the men in their lives.  I'm stumped for ideas!  Any suggestions? The crafts have to be fairly easy and innexpensive, since the teens in the center are the ones making them.. Thanks for any ideas!
26  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Kitty Halloween Costumes on: October 14, 2005 09:08:19 PM
Help! I plan on attempting my first Halloween costume for my cat, Homer.  Anyone have any suggestions for a costume? I actually wanted to dye him yellow  and make blue pants and a white shirt(After all he is named HOMER!), but have No idea how he'd feel about that! !(he's mostly all white with gray patches on his face and back.  The ones on his back are cool, they're shaped like a perfect #7!) I decided against it and need suggestions for something simpler.Any ideas?
