11  Exterminate K9! Embroidered Shirt in Needlework: Completed Projects by KrazyKitty on: December 27, 2010 06:10:21 PM
After joining the Dr. Who Swap,I'm still feeding my Dr. Who addiction so I decided to make a shirt for a friend. My embroidery technique still has a way to go, but over all, I'm happy with it. I plan on surprising him with it as a late Christmas gift. Hope he likes it.

The stitching is a bit wonky because not being a regular embroiderer, I don't have any transfer paper. What I did is print on freezer paper and I embroidered over that. When it's time to remove the paper, the stitches were left a little looser than I wanted.

I got the dalek pic here :http://s281.photobucket.com/albums/kk238/okumarts/?action=view&current=dalek.jpg
and K9 here: http://jinkies36.deviantart.com/
Thanks for looking! Grin

12  Re: Doctor Who Round 4 Gallery!!! :D (Image heavy) in The Swap Gallery by KrazyKitty on: December 20, 2010 10:23:30 PM
I'm such a doof  Tongue because I just realized there was a gallery up for this already!

Let me just say I think this round is by far the best one! Everyone's really put in a lot of time and thought to make amazing things for their partners, even though it's Christmastime and I'm sure you are all going crazy making things for people, much as I am. (My poor hands!) Lots of short (really short) breaks help, thank goodnes!

I was ecstatic  Shocked when I got my package from Alexisbee today. I was totally SPOILED!  Grin It cleared up this dreary, rainy day. So here's what amazing things she sent:

Here's what I first saw when I got it.

Of course, the kitties had to help and see what it was that arrived for them.

I screamed and did a little dance when I saw this! My own Tardis in a shadowbox I can hang. The pics don't do it justice. The detail is in-cre-di-ble Shocked

I also got some awesome stenciled coasters, but I think these are going on the wall around the Tardis because I can't hide them away until I need a coaster. The Cyberman is my fav. I've been on this green/black combo kick lately.

I can't believe she made this out of clay! W-O-W-S-A ! From one of my fave episodes:

A pocket mirror so I can travel with the Dr. or he can travel with me, as it were

Last, but certainly NOT least: My very own Weeping Angel glasses. I hope the picture is clear enough. These are socool!

I can't say enough THANK YOUS to Alexisbee for the wonderful surprises she sent me and the really nice note she sent.( I was so excited to send my partner her stuff that I didn't include a proper note, ugh  Cry, which I hope she understands).
THHHHHHHHAAAAAANNNNKKKKK  YYYYYOOOOUUUUUUU   Alexisbeeee!!!  (I guess the "Craftster Cyber Stalking" payed off  Wink hehe)

13  "It's-a-me, Mario! Here we go!" in Needlework: Completed Projects by KrazyKitty on: December 11, 2010 04:29:04 PM
I'm knee deep in Christmas projects and it's nice when something turns out as I pictured it in my mind. Here's a shirt I made for my nephew, who's a big Mario/videogame player. If I have enough time I want to add a venus flytrap to the sewer pipe and the score at the top of the scene, but for now this will have to do.

I'm planning another for his brother that's going to feature Mario in his racoon suit, but I'm resting my hands for a bit first! I'd love to hear what you think and thanks for looking!

15  Lady Gaga costume in Halloween Costumes by KrazyKitty on: October 23, 2010 11:39:41 PM
This costume was inspired by Gaga, rather than it being a repro of one of her dresses. I needed to come up with a costume for a teen dance where I work and was down to the wire. Suddenly I has a flash of inspiration and I came up with this. I had a lot of fun making it and really like how it turned out.

17  Knitted strap for my Lomography camera in Knitting: Completed Projects by KrazyKitty on: September 13, 2010 06:12:23 PM
Hi everyone! I just bought myself a Lomo camera: the Diana F+ and I'm experimenting with it. I love it so far, but the plastic strap it came with is not the most comfortable on my neck, so I decided to knit a cover for it. I'm happy with how it turned out, but I had to sew it around the plastic one. I want to come up with a way to make some I can change it when I get bored.
 Thanks for looking!

Here's the picture of the tat I got recently, although it's not entirely craft related, it does include some of my crafty passions:yarn and needles, needle and thread, and various types of paintbrushes. I do a little of everything. It also has roses, sugar skull, and a banner that reads "for of sugar and ice, I am made". It's a line from an AFI song I love, and which totally applies to me. I plan on adding color soon. I'd love to hear what you think! Grin

p.s. A MILLION "Thanks" to Taka @ Body Electric Tattoo and Piercing in LA. He and all the (hot!) guys there are awesome!
