1  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Pink French knot Poodle on: December 19, 2005 04:21:33 PM
This is my first attempt at a real project.  Its a Christmas present for a friend.  I was a little scared of trying the French knots, but they were soooo much easier than people on here let on!  Pretty simple actually, but very time consuming.  I'm going to embroider on the back side of the tote "Pretty in Pink".

2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / My first try - simple little flowers on: November 13, 2005 12:17:16 AM
It's small and simple, but I think it came out pretty well for my first try.  I can't wait to do more!

4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Phoenix on a bag on: November 09, 2005 08:28:57 PM

Came out pretty good.  I used gold metallic paint which I just loooove.  It's scanned so sorry you can't see the whole bag.  Its one of those canvas ones that you get at the craft store.  I'm thinking of changing out the handles to something metallicky since it's like pretty plain.  I think I got the stencil from stencilry but I don't remember now.  I love it.
5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / I"m so mad!! on: November 03, 2005 07:20:56 PM
I bought this shirt at Salvation army for like 2.50 and it still had the tags on it, it's a really nice boys t-shirt from JC Penney and it fits me like perfect.  So I was so excited to stencil this on it since the shirt is like a heather red color and the paint is silver metallic, I thought it would look really nice.  I was so nervous about it being centered because somehow I'm really bad at centering stuff.  I even folded the shirt and ironed it down the middle so I could be sure I was placing it right.  Well something happened and it came out a half inch off center.  So now this perfect shirt is ruined!  So anyways, I'm wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions on how to center stuff and how to get it horizontal too, because obviously it's not horizontal either.  Oh and pay no mind to the side of the picture, that's just my scanner.  Sorry for the long story.
6  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Letters got messed up a bit, what should I do? on: November 01, 2005 09:06:33 AM
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y183/princessara203/brownshirt.jpg

I made this last night.  They're some lyrics by Grand Incredible.  The lines are supposed to be crooked, I know it kinda looks funny in this pic.  I cut out all the little islands, had them all in a pile, and my cat jumped on the table and they all scattered.  So, I had to paint the letters like this without the islands.  Should I paints holes in the b's and d's and stuff or just leave it??
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Ever use Dylon's Easy Bleach?? on: October 27, 2005 08:53:16 PM
I just got a nice pair of jeans from the thrift store (supposedly their like $175 and I paid $5!!) but the person who owned them last hemmed them so now the hems look really new and bad!  So I was looking for a way to get that bleached and worn look, so I found this product (online, not in the store).  Has anyone ever used it?  Or do you know of a better way to distress the hem, besides using sandpaper?
8  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Relient K Stencil on: October 27, 2005 08:44:11 PM
I've only liked Reliant K for like a year or something, so I'm wondering if anyone's ever seen this as their logo before?  I'm assuming it is of course, but I googled it because i wanted to see what the real one looked like so I know what colors to use, but couldn't find anything.  Help me out if you know, thanx.
9  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Cute stencils on: October 22, 2005 10:16:03 PM
I found this site when I was looking for a Smokey the Bear stencil.  Some of the pictures are kinda cute.  I don't know if they are copyrighted or whatever, but here's the link anyway.

10  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Is this okay to put on a shirt? on: October 21, 2005 04:48:02 PM
I was kind of annoyed at something today and I thought to myself, talk is cheap.  And then I thought, hey I should put that on a shirt!  But then I thought, people might think that's weird or mean or something.  So, what do you think?
