1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My Kate Spade Beantown Knock-off on: December 03, 2009 12:42:04 PM

I made this for one of my swaps. it's green wool felt on the outside and a cotton print lining. I'm making another one in gray for myself. Inspired by the Kate Spade Beantown Quinn (which I'd love to just buy for myself but it's too spendy$$$)
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / My First Resin Pour: Purse Hooks! on: January 07, 2009 01:58:25 PM
I can't remember where i saw the security envelope pendants but I loved the idea so I made a few of those. The others are just from some stamps I had.

Thanks to johnwgolden for the amazing and easy to follow tutorial.
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / How to revamp a floor table lamp? on: October 06, 2006 10:42:03 PM

The previous tenants left this lamp behind so i claimed it. I really like the shape and style but not so much the colors they painted it.

Should I cover/paint over the shade? Find a new one? What color would work with the color of the table top for the body of the lamp?

Any ideas?
4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Green/Black Acrylic painting arrangement on: August 07, 2006 09:00:49 PM

i don't know how to arrange these. I'm not sure if you can tell by the picture but there's a wire mold running down the middle of the wall which is kind of in the way.  Ideas?
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Crochet Rug Yarn Advice on: July 19, 2006 01:55:11 PM
Hello, I just discovered these beautiful crochet rugs by Karkula.

Prices aren't listed on the website but I imagine they'll be very very pricey so of course I want to make my own. Any ideas for the type of yarn I should use? Something that will be to stand up to being walked on but not be too rough to the touch? Is there anything I could treat it with perhaps to prolong its life?

Thanks craftsters.
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / My Mondrian/FLW/fellow craftster inspired Living room wall on: June 30, 2006 10:20:48 AM
I had been looking for ideas for painting my living rm wall in my new apt when I came across this post:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=24558.0
When I saw it I knew I had to try it. Here are the results:

The heater kind of got in the way but I don't think it spoiled the overall effect too much.

8  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Wall hook for my keys on: June 15, 2006 12:22:20 AM

(I still have to mount it to the wall...somehow)
i love this photo and i wanted something clean, simple and cheap ( $1.50 at Michaels for the wood) to put my keys and garage door opener on.  i just might have to make another one for the back door. i'm thinking of using a picture of the amazing Oolong: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Internet_oolong.jpg
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Tab t-shirt to Tab Bag on: December 19, 2005 03:29:10 PM

I just made this bag for my friend Tabitha (aka 'Tab') for X-mas. I had bought her this Tab cola t-shirt for her birthday but they only had x-large sizes and she's small, so I turned it into a bag! I've yet to master the intricate workings of my sewing machine (straight lines contine to be a challenge) but....someday...si gh.

I'm pretty sure I've seen something like this on Craftster, this forum has been a great place for inspiration. Craftster is the best!
10  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Tree painting on: November 23, 2005 09:05:50 AM
So one day i went to the art supply store and canvas boards were on sale for some outrageously cheap price so I of course bought a whole bunch of them. well they went unused for months and I finally got tired of looking at them so I laid them all out on the floor, drew a huge tree over them and this is the result:

The arrangement got a little off when i went to mount them to the wall. It's like 6 feet across and maybe 4 feet tall.
