1  Life's a puzzle...... in Quilting: Completed Projects by CMeCraft on: December 11, 2007 04:02:27 AM
Ok...here's the thing with this one.....I saw one of these quilts up at the bloomsburg fair back in October and wanted to make one, but I couldn't find any free patterns online......so, I made my own pattern up.  I used Excel for that.

It was extremely easy and fast to make.  When I quilted it, I just outlined each puzzle piece and did loops on the solid black border.   It's lap sized.....I made it for my gf's mom who does puzzles with her grandaughters as a Christmas present.

Thanks for looking.

2  Sampler quilt - Traditional Print in Quilting: Completed Projects by CMeCraft on: December 04, 2007 07:20:48 AM
I participated in this craftalong in 2006 http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=71050.0  and did a traditional version and a kid version of the blocks.

I threw together a kid print quilt from some of the blocks earlier this year.  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=151855.msg1508066#msg1508066

Here's the traditional version that I put together to be given as a Christmas present.

You can't really tell in the pic, but I outlined each block according to the style of it.  It came out better than I expected.

Thanks for looking!  I hope ya'll like it.

3  Jordan's Birthday Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by CMeCraft on: October 24, 2007 10:29:55 AM
My gf's niece, Jordan, and I share a birthday, and I wanted to do something special for her this year, so I let J pick out 18 different fabrics.  After laying them all out, this is what I came up with.  It's a really busy quilt, but to a 10 yr old, it's perfect.  Thanks for looking.  Smiley

You can't really tell in the pics, but I quilted each block individually, based on the design of it....

6  Log Cabin in Quilting: Completed Projects by CMeCraft on: February 11, 2007 12:13:10 PM
Hi everyone!  Here are a couple of pics of a Log Cabin lap quilt that I made for my boss and his wife for Christmas.  It lays flatter than it appears, but because the dogs kept laying on it everytime I put the quilt down, I had to snap the pics fast.  Thanks for looking......Candace Smiley

7  Girls, Girls, Girls! in Quilting: Completed Projects by CMeCraft on: January 10, 2007 02:12:11 PM
Ok, so about a year ago, I bought a bunch of fabric to make a quilt for my teenaged nephew.  I wasn't sure what to do with it until I came across this quilt on here.

So, after seeing that quilt, I sketched out my idea for this quilt at dinner one night......And here's what I came up with.....

The pictures don't really do it justice.....The blues really stand out in the pics......The main theme is pinup girls.

I'll be sending it out to him this week as a late Christmas present.........Candace Smiley

8  Cow Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by CMeCraft on: September 25, 2006 10:45:24 AM
Here's a quilt that I have been working on for my niece for Christmas this year.  She LOVES cows (the white print).  The black print is called Cats & Rats.

Here's a close up of one of the corners.  In each square, I stitched a flower....I'm not sure if you can see it clearly or not.

Thanks for looking.

9  Re: Quilt Block of the Month Craftalong in Craftalongs by CMeCraft on: July 18, 2006 03:22:59 PM
Hi Everyone!  Work has been crazy lately, but the kids are at my mom's for 6 weeks this summer so I had time to get these blocks done.  (My parents live in South MS.....It gives the girls a chance to see all of the family and it gives me a chance to go to the beach.  lol)

quenstalof & ctgirl, I love the colors that ya'll picked for your blocks.  I can't wait to see everyone else's.

Here are my blocks for this month.  I hope ya'll like them.  Smiley

10  Lavendar Dream Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by CMeCraft on: July 14, 2006 04:14:27 PM
I finally got around to finishing this quilt.  I've had the top done for a few minutes.  It's 2 1/2" x 5" (finished size) rectangles, arranged in a zig-zaggy/modified rail fence design.  I am going to give it to my cousin for Christmas this year.

When I was trying to come up with a name for the design, my 13 yr old daughter suggested purple puke, but I didn't think it had the right feel to it. lol

Anyway, here are the pics.  I hope ya'll like it.
