1  Re: January 07 felt a long #10- Flowers-Gallery in Felting: Completed Projects by radal16 on: January 29, 2007 05:42:59 PM
Okay, here's my addition. (picture was just taken and it's dark here...)

Two questions:
1. should I add bead embellishment?
2. Am I too late to get this to Jane?

I received today from laurenhunt.  She put a lot of care and effort into this swap, just check it out.

A cute camera bag, with pockets on the inside for holding film canisters

The lining showing the pockets

A super cute journal

Some pictures, she sent me a bunch so you'll have to forgive me for just posting my favorites- they're cross-processed, very neat

She also sent me a magnetic picture frame, but I have to wait for the light to change to get a picture, it's too reflective right now.

Thanks so much!

Proof that my felting needles aren't rusting.  These little cuties are now on their way to Canada.

The kitten is modeled after my new little girl.  She's less tolerant of her copies than my older guy is, she started attacking it as it went in the box.  It made it through though!

4  Re: Feltalong #8 Needle felting over a 3D form - Hat in Felting: Discussion and Questions by radal16 on: October 26, 2006 12:55:21 PM
Here's my hat in progress, it doesn't look like much at the moment

It's going to be a bucket hat, I'm thinking of wrapping a ribbon around it for embellishment.  Simple but elegant?  It's a little big right now, my hat form was a tad large.  So I'm going to get it wet to finish.  It feels luscious though, I love alpaca!

Incredible!  I love those tails, great colors!  They look very Art Nouveau, which just happens to be my favorite!  You may have just acquired a future stalker...

PS- since you used craftster picture hosting you can copy the image address and just paste it into your post

Sorry I did it for you, but some people may not have seen their beauty...

I received from the fabulous Teamwang!
She sent me a bunch of goodness:

Two pins (one is felted), one patch, a really neat button pendant, a melted pony bead suncatcher with a cat on it (I didn't even know you could do that), and a hanging do-hickey that says, "Go Climb" (perfect cause I am this weekend).

A fused glass pendant in my favorite color

And the coolest thing ever, a felted Space Poppy!

Thanks so much for asking me out, Teamwang!  Our time together may have been short, but it was sweet!

8  Re: Felt A Long # 6 -Felting with Wire in Felting: Discussion and Questions by radal16 on: July 08, 2006 08:34:54 AM
So sorry I haven't posted an update in a while.  I got REALLY frustrated and needed to take some time away from him to make some birds.  So here he is now:

I had to take scissors to his feet because there was too much wool there to refine his hooves.  They're better now but I might have to do more surgery.  His tail is interesting... the black fiber I used on his legs was too short to make a tail so I used some llama I had laying around. In case you don't know, llama is incredibly fine- so that's why the tail looks a little thin right now.

So he's still not done, sigh.

I didn't even know Hello Kitty candy existed...

I received from Listener15 today.

Check out that awesome piano sticker.

Sneaky, sneaky girl- didn't tell me what the tracks are- it's kind of like a treasure hunt.  But I like what I hear so far.

By now I have an idea of what more of the tracks are, list to follow soon...

10  Re: April Feltalong (#5) Gallery- VESSELS! :) in Felting: Completed Projects by radal16 on: June 18, 2006 10:21:38 AM
I took a break from the needles and this is what I got...

I used some of the wool I got in the stash swap for accent, and dried it on a metal bowl for the flat bottom shape. I didn't have quite enough wool so it's a little thin in spots.

Two kudos bars for T&A Lexis- fab tutorial!  It was really easy to follow.
